We have just returned from a 3 night break in the El Galeon hotel and found its location excellent for able bodied people. There is a steep climb up to it.. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room very spacious and spotless. No air conditioning but they did provide us with a portable unit which was... More

We have just returned from a 7 night stay in El Galeón and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is well placed for acces into Santa Cruz ( 10 mins by foot) and also access to th rest of the island by road. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are all very pleasant. We had a couple of small... More

Location is good, walking distance to center and shops. Free parking. The rooms are spacious and clean. We didn't use kitchen that much, since we had dinners out. From the balconies you have the view either to mountains or to the sea or both. In the bedroom there's a fan. We had a huge king-size double bed with stiff, comfy... More

We would agree with the other comments on this hotel. Good clean spacious rooms, helpful staff just a little out of town. Its near to the airport and has private off road parking. We arrived on a late flight and stayed here before driving to the north west of the island - and would do so again. The heavy dark... More

The hotel is very close to the historic part of Santa Cruz de la Palma . The main walking streets and the nearby small streets are great and with no traffic . All attractions are in walking distance .The hotel resides on a hill , to which you can go up in 10 minutes and it make you feel well... More

Spotlessly clean hotel - rooms, bedding, kitchen first class. The rooms are furnished in possibly a sixties style with dark heavy furniture - quaint we thought. Had no problems sleeping, beds were comfortable and our room was quiet. It is in a quiet location but as people have mentioned it is up a hill - could be important factor if you... More

Stayed here Aug 2015. Very large apartment. Nice and clean and good value. About 15 mins walk up a small not so steep hill from Santa Cruz. I did not meet the staff much but when I did they where nice and helpful. Breakfast is available at 5 euro. The hotel was very quite when I was there but I... More

Stayed at El Galeon in April 2015 - chose it for its proximity to the port. - it was 12 minutes to walk down the hill - Apartments (we had 4) were wonderful - spacious, clean, well equipped and very quiet. Free wi-fi and a rooftop sundeck. Staff were so kind, friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast each morning... More

This is a comfortable place to stay although it lacks the wow factor. The rooms are spacious with all the necessary facilities for cooking, eating and washing .
