How would you like to experience peace and tranquility like never before? The Parador de El Hierro is a paradise situated between a volcanic mountain and the blue ocean. The island is bathed by transparent waters and you will feel as if you are in a place only possible in your dreams. Because of the hotel's magnificent location, drops of seawater will sprinkle your strolls through the garden and the intense blue of the water will slip in through your window. The building's balconies put you so close to the ocean, you can almost touch it with your hand. From the garden, swimming pool and comfortable guest rooms, you will enjoy the gentle murmur of the waves. You will relax and rest, feeling at peace in this idyllic spot. El Hierro Island is bathed by transparent waters, making it ideal for diving lovers, who each year come from around the world to discover one of the best seabeds on the planet. It has been declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and of all the islands in the Canary Islands archipelago, it is among the most exotic and virgin. Spring seems never to end here and the green subtropical vegetation in the fertile areas contrasts with the fascinating volcanic features on other parts of the island, including the Parador’s location. As you travel along a relaxing road bordering the ocean, you will enjoy unique landscapes. And at the end of your journey, you will come to the Parador de El Hierro, an invitation to relax that you will find hard to resist. i went for a drink in 2019 and customer service has improved since 2009 when i did stayed and the receptionist who may not still working there now would do bulling to customers like us with not suitcases but backback and we felt discriminated. we travel with rucksacks as were were doing a lot of trekking. we were told we may be allowed even to use the swimming pool a service open to all guests and even allowed to have breakfast for free which was included in the price anyway. during the check in he told us we did not book durectly but "with one of those doggy webs booking.com with an air of disgust " we felt treated like second class citizens or even less

A sea view is essential and the views from the balconies are stunning. Be aware that the waves can be very large and very noisy if you are a light sleeper! The bathroom did need updating and some of the room fittings do need replacing as they look very tired. Upper floor rooms are best but there is no lift. The staff were very friendly and helpful but sometimes they were scarce and we had to wait some time for bar service with the poor reception fellow having to man the bar as well at times. The food was very good although the menu did not change during the 3 nights that we were there. Breakfast was buffet style and excellent. There are a couple of large lounges for reading or playing cards and an excellent activity room where we played table tennis several times. The hotel is very remote and at the end of a long road from the airport and port. There are no other restaurants or shops nearby at all although a local bus does stop at the hotel. Reception have a list of suggested taxi tours and we found these very good and reasonably priced.

Had a wonderful 3 nights here as part of 2 center tour of El Hierro. Rooms with sea view are special and upper floor is more private to. Lovely balcony to watch the sunrise or have a pre-dinner drink looking at the illuminated grounds and sound of the sea. Very comfortable and well serviced rooms to! The Christmas meal on 24th Dec was fabulous. Canape starters, 3 main courses and 2 desert and sweets. Wine include was good quality to. The turbot with sweet potato was fantastic. Smart dinning room with attentive waiters. All for 55 euro, less if half board!! The rest of our stay was highly enjoyable to and relaxing by the pool on xmas day very chilled. The breakfast buffet was very varied and fresh with good fruit cold meats. Try the hot mini sausage trio kebabs! The other evening meals were good quality and professionally served. Hard place to leave!

Very nice hotel to stay at in this unique island. we liked everything except that we had a mountain view room and as the Parador was fully booked at the end of November (apparently it is high season) we could not change to sea view room
