My wife and I stayed at the Catalina in Feb an ideal month to visit nice and warm and carnival time. Las Palmas is virtually un discovered as most people visit the more popular south of the island. The Catalina was a lovely hotel one we hope to visit again soon. Beautiful gardens behind the hotel that go unnoticed unless... More

Loved this hotel. Close to city and beach. Amazing breakfast and lovely pool area. Drinks a bit overpriced at pool but we were only there 4 days so didn't mind. Would defo stay here again in future. Free parking too which was great and room was lovely. Bed very comfy. Staff very friendly. 😀😀😀😀

I stayed at this hotel with my partner for a week and was really impressed with how nice it was. From the time we arrived until the time we left, the staff at the desk were always helpful in regards to advising us on good spots to go for meals or a nice day out and getting around. The majority... More

If you want a modern, soulless, concrete, "corporate-brand" type of place to stay, then this is NOT the hotel for you. This is a hotel redolent of a bygone age that reminds you of your aunt - getting on a bit, conservative in outlook, a bit frayed around the edges but a real character. You could easily imagine a Poirot/Miss... More

Arriving at the hotel you are met with a grand, beautiful building with a perfectly landscaped park at the front. Every bit the 5 star experience you would expect. 20 min drive from the Airport it is a little oasis away from the main tourist beach. We stayed in a junior suit which was a huge room with lounge area... More

Only here one night, previously stayed a few years back and so pleased that it was still as wonderful as we remembered. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely with a huge balcony and all the style & culture of the hotel. Breakfast included in a beautiful room with massive choice. One night is not enough... 😊

I'm sure this was the most peaceful hotel I've ever stayed in. The room (322) was cool and relaxing with a lovely balcony. Moreover, it was kept immaculately clean and had great toiletries. Best of all, though, was breakfast - miles away from the hustle and bustle you get in resort hotels and instead was so tranquil. There was anything... More

Review The hotel on the outside is old and charming looking very much like a 5 star hotel. Reception was welcoming and easy to check in. Wi-Fi is free however I paid for premium as I knew I would streaming netflix (this worked just fine). As it is an old hotel you are given an actual key to your room... More

The hotel is a very nice historic building, beautifully old-fashioned, nicely decorated for Christmas and the New Year. However, at this busy time the outdoor pool was overcrowded - there was a shortage of beds and towels if you came in the afternoon. The indoor pool could only be used for an extra charge for hotel guests (€10), which the... More
