Stayed here two nights in the junior suite. Very nice room and bed was comfy. Big terrace too. The hotel has alot of character. There were robes and slippers provided but the robe was dirty, there was hair all over it. The pools are great, the outdoor pool is nice and not too cold. The beach is about 10/15 mins... More

We were completely stunned with our stay at this hotel. It was clean, stylish and full of character and charm. The room was beautiful and clean with room service every day. We ate in the restaurant on our last evening and were blown away with the service and food. The bar was open every evening with live pianist who played... More

Just returned from my first stay at this hotel. Will definitely return. Service was excellent - discreet and professional. Reception staff friendly and helpful right from the start - everything from upgrading our room to one with a better balcony view of the lovely gardens, to transport and general advice and help. The room was spacious, the bathroom very well... More

We usually stay at another hotel in Las Palmas for my birthday treat, but it is being refurbished so decided to pay the Santa Catalina a visit. Because the hotel is located in a park, the drive up to the entrance is spectacular and the hotel looks stunning lit up at night. The free underground car park was busy but... More

This hotel is full of character - big rooms with traditional furniture. We had a wonderful, huge terrace overlooking the front. When the Las Palmas football team was staying, the night before they played Barcelona, it was great fun to watch the comings and goings. Everyone was very helpful whatever our request. The only flaw was the spa and swimming... More

This is a delightful colonial-era hotel in Las Palmas but is far too expensive for the standard of rooms on offer. Ours overlooked an old nightclub roof, and we had to pay to use the indoor pool. The reason why we chose this hotel was for the facilities & to be charged extra every day to swim surprised us. The... More

Decent-sized rooms, slightly dated, could do with refurbishing. Very clean, linens changed daily. Excellent breakfast, staff very helpful. Big bonus: free parking. Many very good, reasonably priced restaurants and tapas bars within walking distance.

I was looking forward to staying in what must have once been a grand hotel in the colonial style. Things got off to a terrible start - I have never had such a bad arrival experience in any hotel I have stayed in. We came up from the car park and told the female receptionist we were checking in. Her... More

Stayed a week - we were also there when Brad Pitt's entourage arrived in two huge coaches but can't say they disturbed us other than our airport pickup not being allowed to stop outside in case he blocked Brad's pickup. We also watched the movie set being created in the Plaza Cairasco near the old town. Our room was on... More
