Overhanging the port, sittting on the edge of the cliff and with a delightful tropical garden, this hotel offers many pleasures. The decor is Spanish Colonial architecture with antique originals and/or reproduction furnishings. Staff, for a Parador, is unexpectedly friendly and efficient. You can retire to several different "salons" or little corners of the garden. Or the patio that has WIFI....

We stayed here for 3 days and loved it. The location, setting and ambience of this Parador are wonderful. It is beautifully laid out and the garden and pool are lovely. You can see La Gomera in a day or two but you could lounge around here much longer. Rooms are large and well appointed. The architecture, representing old Canarian...

Ended our fortnight walking on La Gomera with four nights here. Loved the oversized beds - needed to climb up to get on them, deep baths and lovely private terrace and courtyard garden. Rejected first room overlooking car park without any difficulty. The breakfast went on for ever - we loved it. Lots of fresh fruit and lovely cakes. The...

This is a delightful hotel, with fabulous grounds and very friendly staff. A former hacienda or plantation house with a spectacular cliff top location, overlooking San Sebastian. The restaurant has coeliac, diabetic and vegetarian menu options and while it is slightly pricier to eat here than downtown, it is also more ambitious in its offerings. Very attentive staff. The only...

San Sebastián de la Gomera is a small town. There are furthermore not many hotels but the parador is definitely worth a stay. It sits on top of a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Tenerife in the distance. And it offers panoramic views of the valley of San Sebastián and the little town itself. The hotel grounds are large...

Having stayed in several Paradors Nacional and eaten in even more I have high expectations for this venerable chain. La Gomera did not disappoint us! Food was excellent overall, location is superb and service ranged from correct to downright friendly.. Our main gripe was that the directions to get there by car for the first time were obscure and the...

The hotel is in an excellent location, staff friendly and unobtrusive. The gardens are lovely to walk around or stop and sit for a read or to enjoy the scenery. Great views of the San Sebastian. Had one meal in the hotel on arrival, great food and service. As for breakfast had that only on the first morning as at...

Lovely 2 night stay following week in Valle Gran Rey. Fantastic cliff top location overlooking town, port, ocean and Tenerife. Lovely grounds and great pool area. Pleasant restaurant with imaginative menu and beautifully presented food, yet it was all too salty on the occasion we dined there. Expensive food compared to other places we'd eaten (aprox 18-20 euros per main)....

Excellent hotel. Staff very good and attentive. Lovely pool, although not heated and could feel cold when getting in. Lovely grounds and a 10 minute (down hill) walk to the Main Town of San Sebastian.
