We had a 5 day break at this lovely hotel. What a fabulous location, right on the beach, it was wonderful. We had a perfect sea view and could hear the waves - and the ducks (yes there's ducks in the sea) from our bed!! The staff were great, did their best to help with any requests we had - kettle, cups & saucers. The breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice - cereals, bread for toast, pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses, bacon, eggs, fresh juices & coffee etc., and the breakfast room looks over the beach too. The room was perfectly adequate, though perhaps could have done with a bit more storage. The bathroom was great - fab shower. Balcony was a good size with a small table & chairs. We ate at the restaurant Es Bruc once and it was ok. Not a massive menu but the food was nice enough. The location was good - plenty of places to walk close byand the bus stop just up the road for the bus to Ciutadella or to Cala Blanca. There's a commercial centre about 15 minutes walk away that has a supermarket, gift shop and several restaurants. Special thanks to Tony who was really helpful, and also the man who was on reception as we were leaving (sorry didn't get his name). Would definitely love to come back.…
Booked in here for a last minute break - loved the fact it is literally on the beach. Also has good pool and unpretentious but friendly restaurant with prices to match. Staff super friendly and helpful. Just the ticket!
Stayed 5 days in July 2017, as soon as the transfer coach pulled up we knew we were going to like the location, it is literally 10ft to the beach. Reception is actually built into the caves that form the local cliffs and is a nice space, it's relaxed and informal rather than a posh desk with uniformed staff but that suits us. We were shown our room and also an upgraded room that was available, we paid extra to upgrade as the view was stunning. There is a sun terrace with free loungers and umbrellas at the front and a pool area at the rear, this works well when you need to cool off in the heat of the day and the pool area was well equipped and generally quiet as it's adults only. There is a cafe/restaurant attached to the hotel which is only 3ft from the beach lol. There is a really good restaurant across the road called SA. QUADRA Which is also carved from caves. Local buses are about 200yds up the road to get into Ciutadella (well worth a visit) There is a supermarket about 500yds up the road. The Sandy beach is safe for everyone and the cove is very sheltered. Would return here and would recommend it to anyone wanting relaxation and a great location. The second pic is from room 603 on the top floor.p…
Just spent a glorious 5 days at a lovely hotel. Great staff very friendly. Fantastic location beautiful scenery great walks great beach. Lovely clean room with a great view.the main town is a short bus trip and a lovely place to visit. Would definitely try to revisit this location
Great Hotel on the beach Staff are the best they do anything to make your stay wonderful. Food was great and there are lots of nearby restaurants if you want a change of Menu but the menu at the hotel is quite good
My partner and I recently spent a week at this fantastic hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome especially when we were offered an upgrade to a full sea view room. The hotel is very quirky and has a very relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, which suited us so well. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We liked the way there were tables reserved for hotel guests, both during the daytime and for evening meals. This also made us feel “exclusive” and rather special. We ate at the hotel for six of our seven nights, trying a nearby restaurant only once, which we found disappointing. The food and wine at our hotel was excellent and the sea view was amazing. The hotel provides beach towels, brollies and rush mats free of charge, which was an added bonus, especially if you do not want to hire a sunbed for the whole day, preferring to have a quick dip, dry off then relax with a drink at the hotel before going exploring. During our holiday, there was a good mix of nationalities staying at the hotel which added to the ambience and fun, especially when we all tried to converse with each other over dinner. It was my fifth visit to Menorca which I think says how much I love the island, especially Ciutadella and this holiday was definitely the best I have taken here. This was due mainly to the wonderful hotel and its beautiful location - and of course, the lovely chaps who run the hotel. Special thanks to you all for making our holiday so special.…
A lovely hotel, with fantastic staff. From the great reception staff that made great suggestions, to wonderful restaurant staff that always had a smile to the friendly cleaner this hotel is so well run. Combine this with a wonderful beach and sea views, it's a great place to stay.
The hotel is good and the staff is nice and competent. The position is amazing but can’t compensate the price! The rooms are clean but we expected more. The breakfast is good but can be better. They provide us a very good beach umbrella and satisfied everything.
We got ourselves there from Mahon. Got bus into Mahon itself as there isn't a bus direct from the airport to Ciutadella itself. Then got bus from Mahon Bus station to Ciutadella. Was easy. Then got a taxi from Cuitadella to Santandria.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a wonderful location but it's the staff who really make this place special. We received a very nice welcome and were given a parasol and beach towels to use during our stay. The room was spotlessly clean and cleaners visited every day to keep it that way. Very comfy bed and great view from the balcony. Good selection for breakfast, served in a nice, light room with cracking views. If you book half board, you can choose between having lunch or dinner. Meals are served in the beach bar so you can have a beach day with lunch on the beach and then visit Cuitadella in the evening or you can have dinner and watch the spectacular sunsets. Paul and his team in the beach bar are really nice and attentive, making our stay all the more special. There is a good choice of food on the menu and a different set of choices each day. It was too hot for us to feel like eating a full three courses but you can have as little or as much as you want. Great selection of wines to accompany your meal. The beach is very busy in peak season but the water is lovely and the bathing extremely safe. Two lifeguards are there to look after you and there is even a beach assistant who helps out anyone with mobility issues, assisting them to walk into the water and keeping watch over them as they swim - I thought this was a really nice touch. Can Carrio and Sa Nacra bar and restaurants are nearby and both are very nice with friendly and helpful staff. If you want a change of scenery, you can walk to Sa Caleta beach which has a nice beach bar serving great cortados. Playa Santandria is not the place to go if you want noisy evening entertainment but it is perfect for a peaceful beach holiday in a hotel that really makes you feel at home. It's perfectly located for a trip to Cuitadella which is a lovely city with beautiful architecture, great bars and good shopping. We will definitely return to this hotel - highly recommended.…
