We loved the M House and will definitely return. We were staying for my husband’s 60th birthday and the staff were so welcoming. Our room faced the alleyway but not problem as it wasn’t the time of year to have the shutters open. The room had a lovely aroma, it was spotlessly cleaned everyday. I fell in love with the furnishings and decor throughout the hotel. The place felt calm and relaxing. The courtyard is beautiful and you can’t believe it’s so close to the beating heart of the city. The staff were so kind, helpful and attentive. Thank you M House for a memorable birthday! We will be back!
Nothing is as promised ! No food, no drinks unles is the easy drinks like gin and tonic. You need to book the pool and only alowed to stay there for one hour. No sunbeds at the terrasse like the write. Just not worth the money. No handsobe at the bathroom. I can just go on with everything there is not here ! Find another place to stay if you decide to go to Palma.
M House is located in the old city centre, really convenient to explore the town. The courtyard is beautiful to have breakfast in. Our room was spacious and well equipped. There was a great selection of foods at breakfast, everything nicely arranged and tasty. Staff was very friendly and eager to support. The only downside was, that the pool was closed on our second day due to technical issues, but the nice guy at reception made up for it with a glass of bubbly on the house. ;-)
We had a short break here and totally fell in love with the hotel. The staff and location are amazing. The rooms are Ali well appointed and stylish. We were four to one room which works for a short period. Would recommend
I want to start this by saying I have never once gone to the effort of leaving a 1 star review for any business - but the way we were treated by M House was quite frankly humiliating and they decided to take no action to put things right, so I feel this is justified. What we saw of the hotel looked beautiful a beautiful shady courtyard and well designed lobby/bar area - sadly we didn’t make it past the check-in desk. Despite booking and paying for our room nearly 3 months in advance after lots of careful research - 1.5 hours before check-in, we received the below message: ‘Dear X, We kindly inform you that we booked you a room in our other hotel in Plaza España. They will wait for you to make the check-in in Palacio Avenidas at 15.00 pm. We hope you enjoy your stay with us :) Best regards, M House Team’ We responded and said we did not want to move hotels and arrived at M House which we were already en route to. Despite having booked/paid far in advance - with no explanation or apology we were told we had been moved to one of their sister hotels. We could see from a quick google this was not at all comparable to M House - it was 5 mins further out of town near the station on a busy main road with no terrace/pool or even a lobby to speak of - the reviews showed it was dated with stains all over the carpet and walls (google to see reviews for yourself). We later found these reviews to be correct. I pushed to understand what had happened and they said a ‘technical error’, I pushed for more information and they said the room had ‘water all over it’. When we challenged that they could put us in a clearly far poorer hotel, they quoted it was ‘within the law’ if they could put us in another hotel with the same star rating close by and did not need to even offer a partial refund (even to match the difference in cost). If the flood was genuine we understand these things happen - but the way it was dealt with was appalling. No apology or recompense offered, not even so much as a free drink whilst we waited nearly an hour for the receptionist to confirm with her manager if we could have the difference in price refunded (the answer was no). Perhaps it was because we were only staying one night but the team clearly did not care about us. When asked why we didn’t even get an apology they said it was ‘Expedia’s responsibility to apologise not ours’. Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced and sadly put a dampener on our holiday travelling around Majorca which was otherwise a brilliant experience. Seemingly a beautiful hotel if you are happy to roll the dice you will get a better experience than we did!…
We had a reservation (via Booking.com) for Friday the 10th of June. I made this reservation 4 months in advance, for a special weekend away. Several emails were exchanged via booking.com, even on our day of arrival, regarding the pool and having an iron in the room. It goes without saying that I was very excited to arrive at the hotel. However when we arrived at 9pm we were told that there was an issue with our room, and we had been booked into an alternative hotel. Apparently we had been emailed regarding this. The message I received on that day, barely a few hours prior to our arrival, read as follows; "Dear Mr. Thorpe, thank you very much for your message. We are happy to inform that we booked the double room with breakfast for you at the hotel Innside by Meliá. Our collegues from reception are already waiting for you, the iron will be done on arrival without any problem. Best wishes, M house team" Followed by a link that didn't work. Does the above message clearly state that we don’t have a room available? To us, it sounded like our room was confirmed. It is definitely not clear that we no longer had our reservation, and that we had been booked into somewhere else. Especially as this was sent while we were travelling from another country. The link doesn’t work, so we had no idea of the situation. It might have helped if the receptionist was sympathetic to our situation, but she didn’t appear to be. We arrived at 9pm, to be told we didn’t have a room, but had been booked into a hotel we had never heard of, and after looking at the images of it online, would never have booked. This is not a hotel I would ever book. Why we weren’t given a proper explanation and a choice, is beyond me? We were stuck, having paid for a taxi from the airport, then having to get another taxi to take us up to Soller, where thankfully we had friends that let us sleep on their sofa. This was so far removed from the stay we had planned, I can’t describe how upset & disappointed I was. After emailing the hotel twice since, we received no reply. Not even a courtesy. I've stayed at this hotel before, so this experience was a massive let down. It goes without saying, I won't be booking it again.…
It’s was a fantastic hotel, really relaxed and chilled, but great location in the centre of Palma. Nothing was too much trouble, had a great time with the roof top pool too. Thank you for being great hosts, would love to come back in the morning too distant future
What a great little hotel , fantastic friendly efficient staff Lovely rooms and great location everything is less the 10mins walk Nothing was too much trouble and they let me relax in their courtyard as I had a late flight The beds are so comfortable and huge , centre of town but very quite Well worth staying here
My husband and I have recently returned from a 4 night stay at this lovely hotel. It is in a fantastic central location. The hotel itself was immaculately clean. Our room was lovely , overlooking the central courtyard. Every detail had been thought of. The breakfast was probably one of the best I have ever had. The selection of food and the presentation was outstanding. However, by far the best feature of this hotel is the amazing team of people who run it. Reception, kitchen, bar, cleaning and maintenance , they were all so kind and helpful. We were celebrating a special occasion whilst we were there and they presented us with cava and cake, which helped make our day even more special. I am looking forward to returning soon to this very special hotel.
The reception and other communal areas of this hotel look great, and it's in a decent location. Nice welcome drink on arrival. We chose the hotel based on it's photos, but unfortuantly the 2 rooms (we asked to move after 2 nights) we were of a pretty poor standard. We originally got room 6, which is tiny, and only has one window that looks out to a huge noisy vent. It's dark, with very little natural light and feels very dingy. I'd put money on it being their worst room— which is unfortunate as this was out first holiday in a couple of years! Our shower didn’t work one morning, which we informed reception about and they told us someone was coming to fix it- but vitally didn't offer anywhere else for us to shower until we asked, which didn't feel like great service. Only about half of the power outlets work in this room. We didn't have a great time in there to be honest. Ask to swap immediately if you get this room— honestly don't even bother going down the stairs! We stayed there for 2 nights and then asked to move. We moved to room 9 which was much nicer (but did have damp/mould on the walls and on the hanging art). Soundproofing of the doors was poor in both rooms, and woke us up a few times. Generally it's an okay hotel, and to it's credit the bar and reception areas look nice, and the general style is sleek, but we wouldn’t stay again. Certainly not in one of the first tier price rooms, they unfortunately aren’t worth €150/night by anyones standards. We could have just got really unlucky with rooms, as lots of people don't seem to have issues, but it was all a bit style over substance in our opinion! We originally has a booking at Nakar, we we really wish we hadn't switched. Luckily we were only there for a few nights before moving on to a gorgeous apartment elsewhere on the island, but it left a bit of a sour taste.…
