The location in the old town of Palma is perfect, BUT then you have to love street noise day and night and loud party music from the hotel's club Beatnik... When we checked into our room, it was completely different looking then the photos on the website. The second day we asked to get another room more like the one we expected. They were very kind with this and we got a better room. The problem was that they didn't mention that is was placed right by their nightclub. LOUD music for hours into the night...!! The breakfast was excellent; big selection and great tastes! The roof terrace was super with great views over Palmas rooftops! Most of the employees, mostly the men, were very kind and helpful. The rooms had very few electric plugs/outlets. Very little space for toiletries. Especially by the bathtub. Their beach club was very expensive and overrated, but nice with free hotel transport!…
Staff friendly and really attentive. Are in restaurant a couple of times and food excellent. Chilled and relaxed feel to the whole place - can’t fault it at all and a great base from which to explore Palma
Positives - front desk staff and location. Negatives - pretty much everything. The Puro is a sort of Ibiza meets Bali to a Mamma Mia sound track of a hotel. The whole place is tired and shabby and needs a complete gutting and refit. Not sure what the problem is (maybe drains??) but everywhere is scented - from the moment you step into the lobby which has an overbearing migraine inducing scent piped through the aircon, to the rooms some of which have hideous apple smelling air freshners others just smell awful like embalming oil - and I tried 4 - no where smells fresh. Coupled with that the four rooms I was shown all had internal windows so no way you can get any fresh air - all in all a claustrophobic experience and that is before I mention that some of the rooms over look the restaurant which belts out 90's pop music until 11.30 pm when the disco kicks in. Corridors long and windy, few have any lights, lift hot and with pulsating music, breakfast a white toast and pre made scrambled egg special. Having said all that the guy in reception was so helpful and did his best to make our stay ok but I don't recollect ever staying anywhere so bad and if I hadn't had to pay on arrival I would have checked out! Sorry was just not for me! …
Sybrand and his team pulled it out the bag yet again! Our stay was absolutely fantastic, amazing room(42),great breakfasts-all spectacular.Christina looked after our every need from beach club transfers to bike hire-she is a true asset to the Puro business.Very much looking forward to my next stay!
Puro Hotel was great! Staff was welcoming and warm, the room was bigger than i expected, it was super clean and nice lighting. The A/C worked great. Bed was super comfy. Loved the mini sunroom off the room overlooking the narrow streets. The hotel is great for taking public transport to the beach and walking to restaurants in downtown Palma. Beatnik restaurant was great at the hotel as well!
Great central location! The food at the restaurant was excellent. Very comfortable room and the air conditioning was a welcome relief from the August heat in Palma. On arrival our check in was seamless. The staff in general were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We tried to book in again a few weeks later but it was fully booked. Would stay there again!
My wife and I stayed here for three days. The hotel's location is perfect if you want to explore Palma. The hotel's food was also great. We can also recommend booking a sunbed at their beach club. The transfer company they use is also a great plus. Would definitely go back.
The hotel was nice but the service was not that good. Also there was no place to hang up clothes in the room and it was not allowed to hang your clothes on the balcony. Some nights they was playing music outside our room and they had not warned us about it before. Also the staff was not so good in English which made it difficult to communicate.
We’ve stayed at many of the hotels in this part of Palma de Mallorca and this was by far the poorest offering at the highest price. We actually changed room immediately so this was based on seeing two of their superior rooms.
It was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough to make my stay perfect. The food was terrific and so was the hotel and Beach Club. I was staying in my own for the first time, so it made such a difference and I would definitely stay again! Many thanks!!!
