Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The BQ Belvedere Hotel offers commendable value, with guests frequently lauding its affordability, although some caution about extra charges for certain amenities. Its pool and variety of food win praise, as does the complimentary transportation to local sites. While the service receives mixed reviews, cleanliness is consistently celebrated, with spotless conditions throughout. Despite its modernity, the atmosphere is considered subdued, and while the hotel's quiet location is appreciated by some, others find it too isolated. Room sizes and the lack of certain comforts are noted drawbacks.

Went for a last minute short stay with my daughter. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, modern, and welcoming. We stayed B&B and the breakfast was fantastic with great selection and plenty of seating inside and out. The lunch from the pool bar was great and varied from day to day with plenty of vegetarian options. The pool was a great size with entertainment during the day. We only joined in with the pool activities as we weren't sure where the other activities took place. We used the free shuttle to palmanova and loved the beach there. Plenty of restaurants in palmanova and magaluf. We also got the bus to Palma one day which was only a couple of euros. There is a shop in the basement of the hotel which was handy for water and snacks etc. I would love to return to this hotel.

Summary: we stayed in July. Great for families, good location, friendly staff, lots of pools, great children's entertainment, clean rooms, good food. Detailed- Check in & rooms Check in was pleasant, receptionist was friendly and helpful. First impressions were great as the hotel lobby was clean, pleasant and spacious. Rooms were a little small but that was not a problem for us. Rooms were cleaned regularly. Overall hygiene / cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Food & drinks We had half board so I can't comment much on the all-inclusive food or lunch. We did however buy some drinks, and they offer a good variety of alcohol, juice, soft drinks, granita, etc. And it's not so watered-down as some hotels have!! Breakfast and dinner was fabulous compared to the food we get in some other hotels - we were really impressed. Something for everyone and a huge variety. Entertainment Staff were amazing with the children and they enjoyed the entertainment so much. There was shows and music/disco every evening which was lovely. Loud music all day around the pools but if you prefer quiet you can go to the grassy area which also has sun beds and shade/sun. Dances and exercises in the pool too. We didn't get bored when we were in the hotel. Pools Pools were huge. If I can remember correctly, there were 3. A very shallow kids pool, a small whirlpool, and a huge pool. All outdoors. The pools were clean and not too freezing so we enjoyed it. There are often dances and exercises in the pools, and music all day. Local area 10 minute walk to the beach which I'll talk about later. It also has a free shuttle bus service to Palmanova which takes about 15 minutes. This is a town with a great nightlife therefore I recommend for young people too. There were no major supermarkets near the hotel but smaller shops, some near the beach which sold overpriced drinks. You can get a bus for 2.50 euros one-way to Palma. Bus stop is easy to find - just outside the hotel. You can ask for the bus timetable at reception or search online. Overall we felt safe here. Beach The local beach is a 10 minute walk up/down lots of stairs and hills. Not ideal on a very hot day. The water is beautiful and very pleasant to swim in. However everyone basically sits on top of one another - it's so crowded! Alternatively you can take the hotel's free shuttle bus to Palmanova which is around 15 minutes. From the hotel entrance straight to Palmanova town which you can then walk 7 minutes to the beach - no hills or stairs! We liked this beach so much more because there was plenty of shade, not so crowded, close to bars, and the water was so beautiful. I've attached some photos of the beaches here too.

Stayed here as part of a package, so didn't book directly. The location was great, in a nice hillside residential area 8 mins walk from the sea/beach. St Augusti has a nice informal vibe - not very flashy, but adequate local shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and great local bus services, all within a few minutes walk. Very easy to get to Palma by bus - a really fine city with loads to see and do and good connections to the rest of the island. Hotel reception staff were really friendly and helpful. We arrived before the hotel check-in time, but they had good arrangements already in place for early arrivals, with free secure luggage storage and called us when the room was ready. Arranged car hire with no fuss at all - wow if only it was that simple in the UK! Huge buffet selection for breakfast, tailored for all tastes and aimed at Spanish, British, Irish and German visitors - just walk in, help yourself and take a seat. Room facilities were fine - comfortable beds, adjustable air conditioning, fridge and nice large balcony overlooking the large pool area. Downside - the valuables safe in the room was only useable if you paid a daily charge. Annoying, but otherwise all good. All in all a great stay and would recommend without hesitation.

It was my first time as a solo traveller away for 4 days. I had a beautiful room for 1 over looking the pool. The hotel was spotless, my room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels. The food choice was amazing good vast variety for all every meal time. Didn't go to the entertainment at night as i just wanted to chill by myself. The town centre is within walking distance and the local bus for Palma is just outside the hotel so all round excellent stay for me would go again.

Expected a 3 star but we were actually quite impressed. The hotel is modern clean and tidy. The room wasn’t huge but perfectly fine with a fab waterfall shower and big balcony. The food was actually really good. Loads of choice and tasty! The restaurant felt like a restaurant not a school canteen and the waiters were pretty quick with the table service drinks. Snack bar was good as well - all freshly cooked. We went at the end of the season so quite quiet so no queues for drinks at bars. The entertainment was a bit sparse. The lad running it Valentina (?) was fab. Really energetic and engaging - great around the pool, but even for him it was very hard to get just a few adults going in the evening, especially in a dark room downstairs with no bar. Could have done with being in the main bar really at this point in the season. Great free shuttle to Palmanova which was a good day out and change of scene. Pool area lovely, plenty of space and beds. We have to give a mention to the 2 receptionists who were really lovely when we arrived with no luggage! Thanks EasyJet! Nino and Gabrielle. They packed us straight off before checking in to get a drink before the bar closed, to start our holiday a bit better, provided toothbrushes, toothpaste and combs as we literally had nothing. They helped calling to chase the luggage the following evening when we had problems and they then cheered along with us when it eventually arrived! All the reception staff were lovely but these 2 really seemed to genuinely care and we were very grateful! Overall a great little find and we will be back.

Very nice hotel with amazing pool and pool bar. Suggestions: more staff at the bar to avoid long queues and maybe slightly heated pool? Great food at the restaurant but staff let it down with a negative attitude and avoiding serving drinks. As it was hot, perhaps serve water in a water glass and not a wine glass!

We absolutely loved our time at Bq belvedere. Top floor room, pool view with a wrap around balcony and extra room with sofa and additional balcony. Rooms are lovely and clean and the air con is brilliant and quiet. The staff are all lovely, they work hard and long hours. Reasons for only 4 stars is the queue at the outside bar, which has been mentioned a lot but nothing seems to be done about it. Also drinks are table service at lunch and dinner and you have to flag someone down to get a drink. If you're going to do table service seat guests and take the drink orders straight away. All served in wine glasses no matter what you order (no spirits in restaurant) We only stayed for 3 nights and only worked out on the last night to get 2 at a time. Food in restaurants and snack bars are all by very good. Some Ice creams and lollies included in AI. Ones in orange at bottom of menu. Shop out the back gate near snack bar sells a variety of things cheaper than on site shop. Turn right out of the gate it's on the corner. We will return again, perfect for a little get away. Less than 15 mins from the airport. Taxi rank outside airport was €30.
