This place is in a great location. Most of the action is in the old city area - this place technically isn't in that area, but it's literally a 5ish minute walk, so really not a factor. 1-2 mins from the beach. Host is an incredibly nice man. He spoke no English and I speak no Spanish, yet we completely... More

We stayed in the private room with ensuite and it was great. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and the communal areas all kept tidy. Miguel was a fantastic host and made sure we were comfortable and knew where to find everything in San Sebastián. Although this pension is not in the old part of town, it is... More

I LOVED it at Pension Amalur. Miguel is the MAN, end of story...even though he doesn't speak any English, he'll still be able to tell you everything you need to know. It's amazing how he does it. He's also very likely the nicest person on the planet...he makes you feel beyond welcome at his hostel. It's actually kind of more... More

We stayed in a four person room after having done a section of the Camino. The room had everything we needed including a really strong hot shower. Miguel the host was fantastic, super friendly and really informative, helping us to get our bearings in the city. The pension is in a great location just minutes from the beach and old... More

We recently stayed at Pension Amalur during the San Sebastian festival and had a brilliant time. We were booked into a private room which was cleaned daily along with fresh towels. The room was spacious and the bathroom modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was a nice communal area to have a drink and meet fellow travellers. Miguel... More

Excellent place, very clean & the owner is very friendly. Beds are comfortable and rooms are exceptionally clean. Facilities are good and wifi works perfect. For what you are paying its worth every cent. Only downside is the noise from the street just below the dorm rooms closest to the windows. When it's 3am and all you want to do... More

Great location, 10 min walking to the centre. Clean, private bathroom, daily change of towels and sheets, perfect internet. Muchas gracias al dueno!!25 euro for a quadruple room. Only shampoo misses. I suggest this place. There are rooms like hostels too

Such a lovely welcome, I understand a little Spanish so understood Miguel well enough, but his warmth would have compensated had I not. Clean bedrooms and bathrooms, with a cosy atmosphere. Excellent location; only one minute from the beautiful beach and five minutes from the old part of the city. Will certainly return, hopefully soon! :D

I loved this place. Clean, close to the beach and was immediately made to feel welcome by Miguel, Fran and baby Alex. They truly went out of their way to help with suggestions on where to go, what to do and even helped plan the rest of my trip and researched the cheapest and best options for travel through Spain... I very much enjoyed staying here. Miguel is so warm and inviting but doesn´t speak any english - its a bit of a comedy skit haha.. fresh towels and sheets every day and everything is cleaned thoroughly by maids. There is no wifi in the dorms and no breakfast. Other than that, the lockers for your valuables and the opportunity... More
