Anyone who researching where to stay has a dilemma in San Sebastian if on a budget. You either sacrifice a small amount of comfort for the being dead in the middle of old town where all the good Pintxos bars are or pay double the price and have a long walk. Aires is in the old town right in the... More

We enjoyed our room, bathroom. Location a nice 20 min. walk down a hill to the busier area of town. $5 taxi ride back up. Located near the Queen's summer palace, nice walk in the evening. Free and plentiful parking. Stayed July 2016, traveled with friends

This kind pension is in the center of the old city of san-sebastian. The owner is very kind and available for everithing you may need. Absolutely one of the best place for staying few day in san sebastian. It is very near to the beach and to the new city as well. The room is cleaned once a day meanwhile... More

Clean rooms, welcoming hosts, what more do you want!! Would stay here again! Bathrooms were clean, beds not the most comfy, but it was def worth the husband and wife team who were awesome to deal with there. There is also a bar downstairs, brilliant!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pension Aires and San Sebastian. On arrival we were met by our host who was extremely helpful even though there was a slight language barrier. We provided with a list of all the hotspots and when best to see them. Our room was a standard room for a one star, sheets and towels cleaned... More

This hostel was so accommodating! We arrived in San Sebastian, having booked a different Pension only to find out our booking had been cancelled. This hostel was exceptionally well priced given the last minute booing. I was travelling with a friend so we booked a "double room' expecting we would have to share a double bed. We were gladly mistaken,... More

My husband and I stayed at Pension Aires in August of 2012. It is located smack in the middle of the old town so location is great, however the price you pay for the location is the noise at night. We had a room facing the street so it was quite noisy. Both the owners were fantastic, even though they... More
