The hotel urgently needs to undergo some significant renovation. Room was worn-down, stains on the carpet and from the bathroom there was a bad smell. No amenities like free water are granted. This is max a 3 star hotel. Service at the restaurant was slow and we had to repeatedly correct invoices. Wifi was very slow and reception in the...

The Melia Bilbao is a nice & pleasant hotel, centrally located & with good service. But it misses the mark in a few aspects where a 5 star should not. We spent 1 week during Xmas 2016, which gave us an ample feel for the hotel: 1. There is no one, no porter at the door. But there is a...

We had paid for a premium room but arrived early and none were available so opted to pay an extra 40 Euros per night for a suite (703), as breakfast would have cost us 28 Euros anyway. They were obviously not expecting anyone in the suite as there was a kettle but no cups etc. So we asked for cups,...

Overall, hotel was very good. My wife and I were in Bilbao for a vacation. However, there are not enough closets for 2 people. There are two separate single beds tucked together instead of one queen or king bed. There are no complimentary water or coffee for a 5 star (?) hotel in the room or in the lobby. You...

Nice room, has beautiful view on the river, good gym and swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent, food more than enough and very various. Staff friendly and accommodating. Very interesting interior of the hotel.

The hotel was in a great location to walk to most locations. Staff were very friendly. Parking was very easy. Upon check in they upgraded us to a suite as it was our honeymoon and the room was fantastic. Highly recommend, great value and great place.

This is a beautiful hotel w/ tremendous service. We arrived in town very late, with no reservation, after going to a soccer match in San Sebastian. We pulled up to the hotel and were immediately greeted by an attendant who grabbed our bags out of our trunk and brought them to us inside, and grabbed the rental car keys and...

I have stayed here a number of times and it has always been very good. if I had a criticism or two it would be the paper products such as toilet paper are not up to a 5* standard. Plus the parking charges are excessive @ Euros 24;00 per night. it is ideally situated for all the main sights especially...

The underground car park is really inconvenient, only for small cars and good drivers. Otherwise the hotel is nice and friendly, with great views over the river. Spacious rooms, good bathrooms. Great service.
