It has everything you would want from a basic hotel. It's not going to win any beauty awards, but it does exactly as you need for a sleep and shower. Accommodation isn't cheap in Gijón, but this place isn't astronomically priced so its good on that basis. And you really can't beat its central location - 5 minutes walk to... More

Good central location, but public parking is expensive. Local to shopping and restaurants. Wifi and to good. Service friendly and helpful. I did not have breakfast here. Prices very good for central location.

A good location hotel and the service from reception staff was always polite and pleasant. The room we had was at the front corner with street view. Noise was from the street entertainers, which if you like amateur opera you will like and if you do not like piano accordion playing non locals, not so good. The room - this... More

The location is great and the staff is nice and friendly. A lot of rooms have their windows towards the interior of the hotel which leaves you with almost no natural light - a very inconvenient feeling. More, each morning a bad small comes from the kitchen. If you want a key to the safety box you need to leave... More

The hotel is located in the centre. That's the only plus. For the rest: old, very old, overpriced for what it offers. For the price we paid we could have booked Abba. Decently clean, but the smell of the old furniture is not to get rid off. If you get an inner room, you won't have much light. We literally... More

We were looking for a hotel for one night in the centre of Gijon and hotel Castilla was a good choice. It is situated at the end of a very commercial pedestrian street and except for the collection of bins in the morning, it was very quiet. Hotel Castilla represents excellent value for money with breakfast included. The rooms are... More

Other than the hotel being in a downtown location, this hotel does not have much to offer. We had an inside room facing a court yard and could hear people talking, could smell smoke and even others going for a pee! Even worse was the heat - we have no idea why because it was cool outside! We asked for... More

An extremely clean and well maintained room, with new bathroom and an excellent Grohe shower that really helped to soothe tired muscles after a long day. This is a humble but very clean hotel in an unbeatable location in Gijon, ideal for shopping (Calle Corrida). Did not eat breakfast. Reception staff were very kind and helpful (thanks for the tip... Very nice hotel in the center of Gijon. The rooms are relativly big, very clean and also the breakfast was very nice. The recepcionist was very friendly and helpful. You can ask for a voucher to park for 10€ at the Jovellanos carpark ( for each 24h). Lost of bars next door and only 5 min walk to the beach... More

Right in the centre of the town yet walking distance to the port. The room was clean and had wifi but only for 15 mins at a time. The staff were friendly. Good price at around 55 euro per night. There is a car park very close to the hotel and you get a discount.
