Excellent service by owners. Personal attention in their welcoming, breakfast touch and orientation to our visits. The setting is great: tranquil and bucolic. The home belonged to Pedro Duro, an industrialist of Gijón. His heirs have made a beautiful bed and breakfast type of atmosphere.

A late 18C house, purchased by the current family in the 1860s, so same owners for more than 150 years. It retains much of the original features and brought up to date with a lift and, in our room, a modern bathroom. The location is down a country road and a car is essential. Jesus, the manager, was waiting outside... More

Stayed here for 5 days in June. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was very quaint and authentic. Surrounding countryside was beautiful for walking, jogging. Room was clean and well serviced. Continental breakfast served daily for 6 euro was good value for money. Please note however for travellers from out of Europe: You will probably need a car. The... More

Beautiful old family house turned into a hotel with pretty gardens, comfortable and spacious room/bathroom and good breakfast. This amazing property is well taken care of and you see it in all small details. There's coffee and tea available in room. Free wifi. Jesus was an excellent host recommending sightseeings and restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is located in... More

Very pleasant rooms; in the dark evening and the only people using them it is a little austere, but lovely in the warmer days and lighter evenings. It is worth braving a car ride to a further eating place than the ciderea (interesting, but food on level of local takeaway and you have to sip the cider as do the... More

Charming old mansion in a lovely setting on the outskirts of Gijon. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We were made very welcome and given an excellent recommendation for dinner (this only B&B) at El Cruce - see other review. Overall an excellent visit and we will stay for several nights when next in the area. The instructions... More

You will need a car to arrive there. The place is not too far from Gijon but it is a little isolated. All of that is not important since the place is very well preserved in an antique old house, with all the comforts you may want to have within typical old times atmosphere. The owner Carlos, and son Jesus... More

Thank you very much for your review. Regarding the in-room safe, understand that it is not necessary because it is impossible to open the room from outside without a key. Anyway, we will consider it for the peace of the guests. Kind regards, Jesús Velázquez-Duro More

Tucked away on the outskirts of Gijon this is one of the best places we have found anywhere in Europe. Set in lovely gardens behind it's own automatic gate this place is just a treasure. The room we had was beautiful with a four poster bed and a spotless en-suite. The staff were most helpful and this is a must... More

Lovely old mansion just outside Gijon. Quiet, despite being somewhat close to the autoroute. Large grounds and old trees make for a pleasant sit in the garden. Room #10 was large with a four poster bed, desk and two sets of double windows opening out to the garden. Breakfast was good quality and varied with fresh squeezed orange juice. The... More

The hotel is an old mansion from the early 19th century. It is located in a large garden. It still contains many old furniture and is very charming if you appreciate this style. The breakfast was very good for around 7 euro. The only drawback is that the location is neither real countryside nor central. The distance to Gijon centre... More

Thank you very much for your review. I like that you have enjoyed your stay in my hotel. I only must to add that the breakfast price is 6,50€ and that to coming to the hotel you can take a taxi (10-12€) or take the bus (1,20€). Kind regards, Jesús Velázquez-Duro More
