Spent Christmas in Gijon, the hotel room was clean, bed was comfortable and it did what it said on the tin... The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The main thing is location, right in amongst the bars and restaurants. Only negative was the food, breakfast had a lot of prepackaged pastries and we had a burger which didn't...

I loved Gijon but my trip there last October ended in mishap. Walking about the city, I was attracted to a board sign for Hotel Blue's lunch special. Ordered the fabada asturiana and noticed everyone had ternero. Following day the moment I arrived to Burgos I ran for the toilet with a bad stomach. Could it have been the beans?

Stayed for one night in June and it was awful. Tiny room with a view of a fire exit and a wall. The bathroom door bashed into the sink when you opened it such was the size of the room. Wifi didn't work. Air con didn't work. Frustratingly, an emergency light on the ceiling just above the bed did work,...

The reception staff are good. The room is Clean and well thought out, much the same as an Ibis/travel lodge etc. There is air con and TV and our room had an enclosed balcony. We parked in the underground car park accessed by a vehicle lift (cool) for 11 Euros at took the lift straight to our room. The breakfast...

Very central. Difficult to find - even with sat nav, but I got there in the end. Extremely helpful staff. Talked me through the directions. Adequate breakfast. Room was clean. Close to the beach. Plenty of bars and cafes nearby. I enjoyed my break in Gijon.

Nice little hotel with your basic amenities (bed, shower room, TV, free wifi). The only thing is that the walls and doors are paper thin so you can hear everything that's going on! The continental breakfast was basic, but there was enough to eat. I did burn my hand on the toaster though as there was a metal handle for...

The hotel is centrically located in a pedestrian street. Therefore I had a hard time to find it since I was driving a rental car. I had to park the car and walk to the hotel to get instructions how to get there. The reception clerk was wonderful and very helpful. I had to drive through the pedestrian street to...

We stayed overnight and it has an excellent location. Surrounding the hotel you will find a lot of bars where you can “tapear”, shopping places and restaurant and it is walking distance to the marina and other places of interest. Staff was very kind and our room very nice and clean with comfortable beds. Have a basement private parking bigger...

We had visited this hotel in 2011 and was not disappointed in staying here again. So close to shopping, bars, restaurants and also to the port and beach. Value for money, can park in parking lot it is a tight squeeze. Would only go with a small car. Cost for parking €11.50 per night. Rooms are a good size, clean...

What a great little find in the center of Gijon. Five minutes walk to the water and restaurants bars and a supermarket at your door. Parking under the hotel yippee €11.50 euro, it's a bit of a tight squeeze so take your time. €40 a night on the weekend's and €50 a night during the week including breakfast absolute bargain...

“If you arrive by car .... Set the sat Nav to Calle Santa Rosa where the Hotel is situated. This appears a pedestrian walk way. However you approach Calle Santa Rosa via a one way street called Calle Begona. When you reach the right hand bend Calle Santa Rosa is on the left and YOU CAN turn left into it and park your car immediately in front of the grey metal garage doors which are to the immediate right of the Hotel as you look at the front of it. Then simply pop into reception ..... Get the car parked and then sort out booking in. By this stage you will have realised how hard it is to park anywhere legally or not!”
