We visited this place during New Year and our first thought was WOW! Until we noticed in the night the extremly thin walls on the backside of the bed. We heard our neighbours lovemaking and shattering which made us feel very uncomfortable so we asked for a new room. The hotelgroup was very serviceminded and gave us another room at another place. It wasent an other apartment but it was quiet and just as close in the old city as the other and we slept good and our vacation wasent destroyed. Unfortunatly our earplugs didnt work to keep out the sound at Suits Santa Cruz but as long as you get quiet neighbours you will definitly like it here.
The good news:- it is absolutely ideally located for everything in the old town. There is a roof terrace with plunge pool at the hotel that can be used which they don't tell you about! The free walking tour is worth doing especially on a first trip to Seville to help get your bearings. Now for the bad: Having booked a ground floor twin room 5 months in advance, we were given a double on the first floor. After complaining and insisting on seeing the manager he eventually got us an incredibly uncomfortable camp bed for our first night. They did give us the room we had booked for the remaining 2 nights - but with stained linen on one of the beds. The breakfast is not a buffet as stated - it is very much portion controlled on a tray. Only one coffee capsule per person allowed (more available at additional cost). It is very noisy with banging doors (2 heavy front doors and each individual suite) going most of the night as well as a noisy pedestrian street with no double glazing. The nearest taxis can get to the hotel/suites is less than a 5 min walk. Not all suites have a kettle -so if you need one, check it is there. Apart from stained linen the rest was clean enough but housekeeping and some of the receptionists (not Alejandro) need re-training.…
Very clean studio, ideal for two people wanting a little more space and a good fridge and kettle! It was perfect for our 5 day stay. We didn't cook but if you wanted to, you would have to bring everything from scratch. We were on the third floor so it was bright and airy but no lift, if stairs are a problem. Ok for us. Joaquin welcomed us with a drink and carried our bags up for us, which was lovely! We opted for breakfast in the sister Halo Hotel just round the corner and that was good value. Staff were very pleasant and kept items freshly topped up. Santa Cruz is a great area in Seville but we had our map to hand to find our way around, so many tiny streets - great fun though! We took advantage of the guided tour offered by the hotel and had a very interesting two hours stroll around the city with a few good local tips for places to eat too. Highly recommend and hope to return!…
The apartment we stayed in had a little kitchenette but no safe in the room. The room didn't have an iron but the hotel staff was able to send one over and they had a safe behind the front desk we could have used. The staff was excellent, the location was prime (although a little loud being in the heart of the old town), and the rooftop pool was a real treat. There are several properties all managed by the same hotel staff within a block or two, so there were more amenities that would be expected for a property of this size. Overall, it was a pretty good stay.
The location is good and bad. It is good since it is close to Real Alcázar of Seville and Seville Cathedral. But it is not accesible by car. Taxi drops us off at the nearest location and I have to haul my luggage through narrow street. And there is no elevator. The apartment is ok with a bed room and a kitchen/dining room and 2 huge terraces.
We had a fantastic stay at the apartment: It is located in the middle of Santa Cruz, the historic area of Sevilla. All the main attractions are just 5 minutes walk away! Around the corner you find fantastic bars, restaurants, beautiful plazas and small shops. We had breakfast included, this was served in the Halo Hotel just next door (you also have to register there when you arrive). The breakfast was good and the staff of the hotel super friendly! In one sentence: we would absolutely return and suggest this place! Only thing you have to know: we had a lovely family apartment on the ground floor. Its located in the centre of Seville and of course it is not 100% silent in the night. In our case it: We all (4 people) slept very well, it didn't disturb no one of us. Really enjoyed our stay!…
The room where we stayed was in an old former convent two centuries old. Very spacious suite overlooking the narrow cobbled streets lined with cafes and shops. Breakfast was good. However, the bathroom was very small. Daily housekeeping is not free. You have to pay 40 euros per day to have the room cleaned and around 10-20 euros to have the pillow cases or towels changed. I find this utterly ridiculous. I have never in my life stayed in any hotel where daily housekeeping is not free. Would not recommend anyone to stay here unless you do not mind sleeping every day in a room where the bed is not made.
This was a great location for a visit to the historic area of Sevilla. Register through the Halo Hotel and then have a detached apartment. It was on the second floor and had a nice terrace where we could sit and enjoy coffee or wine. Overlooked the plaza below and it was enjoyable to people watch. Well located for restaurants and bars. There was underground parking not too far away. Friendly staff willing to assist in anyway they could. Room and bathroom were compact, but we were not spending much time in there anyway. Really enjoyed our stay.
We had a great long weekend in one of the suites with a private roof top terrace. We had great rooftop views that we loved and so quite considering we were in the middle of tourist area. The bed was huge and comfortable, with two bathrooms! The one thing I would improve would be the number and quality of kitchen crockery & pans in the apartment ( no mugs for a good cup of tea). So if you are planing to go on a budget and make meals this would require improvement. The staff in the Hotel affiliated with the apartments are really lovely and helpful. Would recommend and stay again.
We stayed for 5 nights in apartment 3 in Calle Pimientia in the barrio Santa Cruz. The apartment which has a terrace adjacent to the living area and also a roof terrace is on the 3rd floor and accessed by stairs. Initially the apartment was difficult to find mainly because the street signs and maps weren't always synchronised. It is part of the nearby Halo Hotel. The hotel staff are personable and helpful. A buffet breakfast is available which was a good standard with a variety of hot and cold options which were replenished during the morning. The accommodation was well located for the cathedral, museums and shops (although there are no local food shops if self catering). Even off-season advance booking is necessary to avoid queues of hundreds of people in the rain. The apartment was clean and looked freshly decorated, the bed was comfortable and the WiFi worked. This was fine for a short break but self-catering if staying longer would be difficult without a washing machine and clothes airer or sharp and utensils to prepare food. Overall the street was fairly quiet at night with the exception of what sounded like wheeled cases being dragged along the pavement late at night and early morning and a workman who seemed determined that if he had to be up no-one else was having a lie in. …
