We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Halo Boutique Hotel - it is in a perfect location in the atmospheric, historic Santa Cruz area and within easy strolling distance of the Cathedral and Alcazar, as well as numerous bars, restaurants and interesting little shops.

The interior of the Halo has been designed in a contemporary style, whilst still retaining many of the original features of the lovely, traditional building. The hotel is immaculate throughout and our room was modern, stylish and thoughtfully appointed, and the bathroom was large, with a bath and overhead rain shower. The bed, pillows and linen were of high quality and the towels were large and fluffy. The breakfast room is delightful and the buffet provided a wide choice of fresh and delicious food. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the lovely roof terrace and small pool due to inclement weather, but it looked like a great spot to relax after sightseeing.

Everything about our stay at the Halo was perfect and special mention must be given to the most outstanding feature, which is the hotel's the wonderful staff. Without exception, everybody was helpful, efficient and charming - from a complimentary glass of wine at check in, to providing a packed breakfast to accommodate an early trip, we received the most excellent and considerate service.

Highly recommended!!

Despite the disappointing weather we had a marvellous time in Seville and Córdoba and we enjoyed staying at the Adult only Halo Boutique Hotel which is situated in the very atmospheric Santa Cruz district.

On arrival we were given a glass of wine and told to take a seat while the check in was processed. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. When we mentioned that we had a very early train to catch to Córdoba they arranged for a packed breakfast to collect before departure.

The room was well appointed with a rain shower in the bathroom. The breakfast room was very attractive and there was a good choice of items plus a Lavazza coffee machine.

The location was ideal for all the main sights being situated very close to the Alcazar and Cathedral with a huge choice of restaurants/bars nearby.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a lovely hotel.

We picked the Halo mainly for the location, slap bang in the middle of the old town / Jewish quarter and within walking distance of the main attractions, what a lovely hotel and I would highly recommend a stay here.

We booked the room with a private patio, which was spacious and perfectly fit our needs. We didn't massively use the patio because at this time of year it is predominantly in the shade, and we preferred to sit on the roof terrace in the glorious sunshine.

The Halo did a number of nice little touches, such as cava on check in and free soft drinks in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast room has a nice airy feel.

In the spirit of balance, there were a couple of very minor niggles. Firstly, there was a very strong sewage smell coming from the drains, which the hotel had done their best to mask with quite an overpowering "air freshener". But we put the plugs in the bath, sink and bidet and covered the overflow and it immediately solved the problem.

The only other disappointment was that the pool was not operational. We were fortunate to have glorious sunshine and 28 degree afternoons and a swim would have been most welcome, but I do understand that this is their off-season and that maintenance has to be done sometime.

Apart from location and the service prior to arriving through WhatsApp (thank you Fernando!) this hotel was a mess. We arrived and there was a queue to check in, there was one person at reception and he was very slow. They gave us a room on the first floor which was extremely noisy due to the surroundings of the hotel. One day 2 we woke up with no hot water, we tried to call reception and our phone wasn’t working. When we raised these concerns to the manager she was extremely unhelpful, she had an attitude and was quite defensive. Rather than solve the issues we had worse service for the rest of our stay. Housekeeping didn’t replace/refill things (bath products, tissues, water). We had to constantly ask for things. Any essentials we requested they didn’t have (for example vanity kit) or couldn’t supply right away (for example iron/iron board). Given the star rating of this property I expected more and it did not meet any of our expectations. It is very overpriced for what you get.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in January. Location is very good, very central next to Cathedral and Alcazar. The taxi stoped us 150 metres away from the hotel because of the narrow roads , the distance to walk it was very pleasant. Hotel serves buffet breakfast in the ground floor. Roof Swimming pool and the roof bar it wasn’t opened in January because it is cold. There is no restaurant in the hotel but the Tapas bars are very close by. The rooms were very clean and modern. The receptionist Joaquin & Ana were very friendly and helpful. Overall a do recommend this hotel for a weekend away.

Our first time in this hotel and the last. Stayed in Sevilla in different hotels on other occasions and they have all been pretty good, some exceptional, i.e Hotel Amadeus. The only ok aspects were the room and the location, although when I unplugged my phone charger the whole thing came away exposing wires. Worst breakfast we've ever had in a hotel. Everything was cold and prepacked and the coffee machine didn't work properly. We left and ate our breakfast elsewhere. We made it clear that we wouldn't be paying for the breakfast and it was accepted with a shrug. Service was none existent. There seemed to be many willing trainees in reception but they didn't have a clue about what to do. There are much better hotels in Sevilla.

This location was in a fabulous location in Seville, amongst the windy streets. A taxi will bring you a 2min walk away to one of the close squares), and it's round a 3min walk to Royal Alcázars of Seville and the Cathedral.
Check-in was very pleasant with a glass of Cava, as was check-out where we were offered use of the pool for the remainder of the afternoon and a taxi was arranged for us to the airport.
The room was spacious, light, and well maintained with everything we needed. We appreciated the water and juice that was in the mini bar for us to take each day. The bathroom had a great shower! It took us awhile to get the aircon figured out as it's locked if you try to go below a certain temperature and you have to ring reception to change this - however once we figured it out we got a nice cool temperature for our stay that gave us a break from the stifling heat of Seville during August!
I thought overall this hotel was exceptional value for money considering what we have paid in other locations for a similar standard, I'd highly recommend and would stay here again.

Have just returned from a lovely and relaxing five night stay at the Halo Boutique Hotel.
Beautiful Hotel situated down one of the narrow Sevilla streets in an ideal location for all the popular landmarks Sevilla has to offer.
Our room was a Junior suite with a patio it was very comfortable and very peaceful and relaxing the patio was shaded but on a hot summer day l would imagine a lovely place to chill with a cool drink.
The over the bath shower was ideal an nothing like a nice invigorating shower to start the day.
Comfortable bed which was huge and lovely crisp bed linen plus the towels were ideal and big enough to wrap around.
The Halo has an air of calm and the staff are only too willing to help with any questions or requests.
Would we return. Yes without a doubt.

ROOM: Check in was easy. Had a storage room since we arrived early. Room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. There was a couch. The view was of the alley and restaurant noise was loud until 1:30 am.

BATHROOM: The bathroom had everything that we needed to be able to get ready for our day. Towels were plentiful and there was room to be able to place your toiletries on the counter and on the shelf. Only problem I had was being able to learn how the faucets worked. 🙄

AMENITIES: Hot water pot in room to make coffee and tea.

We had an excellent week long stay in this lovely hotel ideally located in the Barrio de Santa Cruz. Easy walking and strolling to all the most enchanting sights (Alcazar and Cathedral, for example).
They had just reopened following lock down but quickly put everything in order and were very responsive to all requests. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful with recommendations.
The swimming pool on the roof was perfect for a mid-day dip and the small roof top bar offering stunning views.
We stayed in a Junior Suite which had double height ceilings. The windows were very sound proof and the cleaning staff accommodating to our schedule.
We did not take the breakfast option as there is a charming café downstairs on the square.
We will definitely return to this hotel.

Is this on a “tucked away” or “alleyway” street? Or can cabs access it directly?

Cabs cannot access it directly but the taxi can drop you few steps away from the hotel. Best is to arrange the airport pick up on your arrival day. Tha taxi driver will lead you up until the reception area of the hotel.😊

The description includes an airport shuttle. Does the hotel provide this and how much does it cost?
Answer from PeterBitter
Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands23 contributions45 helpful votes
Airport shuttle from the airport by hotel is very expensive, €30 -€35 as compared to official taxi rate of €22. Metered Taxis are excellent and will drop you off close to the hotel. Sevilla is full of very small streets for only pedestrians.
