We had an excellent week long stay in this lovely hotel ideally located in the Barrio de Santa Cruz. Easy walking and strolling to all the most enchanting sights (Alcazar and Cathedral, for example). They had just reopened following lock down but quickly put everything in order and were very responsive to all requests. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The swimming pool on the roof was perfect for a mid-day dip and the small roof top bar offering stunning views. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had double height ceilings. The windows were very sound proof and the cleaning staff accommodating to our schedule. We did not take the breakfast option as there is a charming café downstairs on the square. We will definitely return to this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location for exploring Seville. The room was large and modern, as was the bathroom. The whole room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast here was excellent, although occasionally a little slow to restock the food taken. Would be very happy to stay here again!

We were due to travel to the Halo Boutique at the beginning of April 2020, but due to the lockdown in Spain and government advice in the UK we were unable to travel. We have been unable to contact the hotel via telephone or email to rearrange dates or obtain a refund. Other independent and far less expensive hotels we had booked for our trip have been much more co-operative.

We had booked to stay at Halo but had to cancel at the last minute due to doctors advice. Hotel choose to ignore request to move dates or accept the medical letter as valid justification for a refund. We had paid in full in advance for 5 days but no communication from the hotel other than an email resending the booking confirmation. Given the current situation the Halo boutique will not survive without more customer care.

We first stayed here not long after it opened and happily gave it a 5 star review. It was clean, fresh and the management were highly visible at all times. On this visit staff were scarce and management appeared to be totally absent. That would help explain the room we were given but first we have to endure their half hour check in which is not what a traveller wants after 2 hours on train and a half hour walk to the hotel. Now to the room. One member of staff showed us up and opened the door. Notably she decided not to enter the room and i wish i hadn't either. The smell of sewage from the waste pipes in the bathroom was shocking and immediately hit me as the door was opened. It took me 30 seconds to agree with my wife that the room was uninhabitable but by the time I turned around the staff member had ran away. I went back to reception and complained. Staff member said he would "look into it". We left and went to dinner fully expecting to return to an upgraded room and an apology. Nope. Reception was deserted when we got back. (It seems they run the hotel with 1 person from teatime. Must make fire drills interestiing!) We went to our room and it stank. This time from a can of air freshener. The bathroom still stank of sewage. Just then the door knocked and the chipper air freshener wielding member of staff asked if everything was great now. I tried to politely tell him that a case of air freshener was not a fix for this problem. At that point I saw I had lost him. Very begrudgingly a new room was offered and off he went to source it. We got demoted to a smaller room but it was a floor higher and the bathroom did not smell so we took it. Oddly the hall outside smelt but the room didnt. Sadly the staff member had used another can of air freshener on the rook to seal the deal so we had to open the windows for an hour whilst we went out for a drink. It was then the company that I had booked with sent me an email asking how check in went so I told them. On returning to the hotel the staff member wanted an argument with me as head office had been notified by the booking company. I tried to explain that 3 things I didn't come to Sevilla for were sewage smelling rooms, air freshener poisoning and arguments with hotel staff but as I said, I had lost him long ago. We parted agreeing to differ and him refusing to apologise for ruining a day of our very precious holiday. Oddly on checking out 2 days later the reception staff did not ask me if everything had been ok. Odd that! Not recommended.
