Granada is the city of the Carmenes. One Carmen is a green space tipcamente granadino, has something of garden and ... Something of garden, quietude, smell of jazmines and lemon trees, ripple of water, trills of birds and conference wonderful of the Alhambra. And, in addition, in this case one impressive marries palace of the SXVI with a Shed of the SXIV, the ancient mas of oriental Andalusia. It has 7 rooms, all with bath. The house is rented by seasons, always and only the entire house.

A truly beautiful traditional Carmen in such a fantastic location. Located up some fascinating narrow pedestrian streets the views of the Alhambra from here are absolutely incredible. Even the walk there is a great experience. Priced a little lower than other similar properties we found this old family building to so much more personable and charming, and the can be said for the warm and friendly hosts as well. Great breakfasts and a lovely back garden area were big bonuses as well.

We stayed here 2 nights during our honeymoon. The house was super charming and authentic. The owners make you feel welcome and the staff was super helpful and serviceminded. The interior is old but charming. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed a room with a rooftop terrace with a view to Alhambra. Perfect hotel for a romantic stay in Granada!

We were interested in seeing Albyzin, a Moorish place updated with Christian Renaissance and Spanish Baroque constructs. Albyzin is full of narrow winding streets and alleys. It has enormous charm as a medieval town. We live in the heart of Silicon Valley, California and cannot get a decent wireless signal. We were amazed to find widespread WiFi across Albyzin, in the public square especially. . The hotel is quite historic, dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries, with upgrades in the 1600's to suit a wealthy merchant. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable and the staff was attentive and helpful with historic information. Albyzin is across the little river Darro from the Alhambra. The one way streets can take you miles out of your way. It was a short walk to the main square from the hotel, but if you took a cab it routed al the way back through central Granada. So, if you stay at the hotel, drag your luggage to the square and catch a cab there.

The lady and her husband who run this place are wonderful. She was such a delight and we felt like we were staying in their home with a large private quarter. We had a 2BR with den and 1 bath. The building is in the Alabacin so it is of course old. Unfortunately there were 3 issues -- 1. They don't answer phone because they don't speak English (but we spoke Spanish, still couldn't get through on phone and it was hard to find and we needed to come late), 2. There is a night club on the block and sound resonated through bricks until 5am; 3. The lady said she hadn't paid by hotels.com. She didn't ask us to pay (we had already paid hotels.com for non-refundable 2 nights, even though we couldn't get there in time for check-in and only stayed 1 night), but we told her we would contact hotels.com. If night club is closed and you can find the hotel, this place is great for 2 adults, 2 kids. No wifi to our knowledge

We arrived to a totally closed hotel. I had booked the room a month in advance, but no warning was given to me what so ever. Both the website and phone number was shut down when we arrived - and there was no way to contact the owners. Worst hotel experience ever. Avoid at all cost!
