The parador is in a former palace, later a convent, with beautiful grounds right in the middle of the Alhambra, with glorious views from the terraces. The guest rooms (only 38 by our count) are thoroughly modern and comfortable, with free wifi. There was no bath, but the shower was large, with multiple jets. We found the staff courteous and...

The only reason to stay at the Parador in Granada is location, location, location. You go to Granada to visit the Alhambra and the Parador is within the Alhambra complex -- parts of it are even an old Franciscan monastery where Ferdinand and Isabella were first buried -- and the Parador is the only upscale hotel within the Alhambra.  It's...

A grand old place and in the right place If Alhambra was your reason to visit. All a bit old and tired and general quality of food, service etc average. Pleasant base to walk down to town from and easy to get a taxi back. If you want help with bags forget it but all in the joys of travel....

This is in the most gorgeous setting. In fact, the grounds are so beautiful they brought me to tears. Our room was right next to the swimming pool which is really not for swimming but full of fish which wa cool but made our room smell kind of like fish. The room was large and the bathroom was fine but...

We went here about 30 years ago, and just had to go back. It was as brilliant as we remembered. However, as someone else has pointed out, there are probably too many "modern" touches. For instance, in the great restaurant, the chairs look as though they come from a 2013 design competition - and these were not the winners. I...

I visited for one night. Arrived early & our room was ready early. We were not given instructions how to get there so left our car in the main carpark for the Alhambra (which we picked up later). The desk were very helpful (& found a physio to give my daughter who had had an injury a massage). The terrace...

Stayed one night to visit the Alhambra which is a must see in this area. It was very confusing to find even with a Navigator so if you are staying make sure you get good instructions. Car park provided once you get there. The gardens and buildings are beautifully maintained and restored. The rooms don't do the position and surroundings...

This beautiful hotel is located in the grounds of the Alhambra Palace and was once a monastery. Olde world charm combined with modern convenience. The terrace cafeteria is an idyllic spot, try their Sangria and a plate of croquettes. Well worth while booking breakfast which features an array of local specialties, particularly enjoyed the strawberry juice.
