A Carmen is the typical house of Granada. This is why the town is called «the city of carmens». El "Carmen de Ramilla" propose 4 apartments in rent for 1 night and more with a direct access on the garden & pool. The carmen’s origin is Arab, as is shown by its name as well as its architectural and spacial features. The "Carmen de Ramilla" have 4 turistics apartments equiped : kitchenette, bathroom with towels and have a beautiful garden and pool. The "Carmen de Ramilla" is in the heart of the busy life of bars, shops and Spanish plazas and it will take you 20 min. to get to the Alhambra (1.5 km, about 1 mile), 5 min. to the "San Nicola mirador" – the ideal vantage point to admire the sunsets on the Alhambra, 5 min. away from the Sacromonte, famous for its Flamenco performances. And it twill take you less than 15 min. to get to the cathedral with the Catholic Kings’ tombstones.

We loved our stay here! Our courtyard-facing duplex was lovely and had everything we needed, including basics to cook with and any appliances you could possibly need. Our duplex was very quiet. Loved the garden area--it was wonderful to cook our breakfasts and sit in the garden to enjoy it. Being able to pick and eat pomegranates was definitely a highlight, too. Communication was very easy, and the ladies running this place were very helpful. The only thing I would mention is to be aware this is located in the Albayacin quarter, so a bit of a climb up the hill, although, to us, absolutely worth it to be away from the noise of the center of the city and to have the garden and pool (unlikely find in the city-center). Plenty to do in this quarter, and only 10-15 minutes walking to the main plaza. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back!

Carmen de Ramilla is a wonderful place to stay with friendly and helpful staff providing a relaxing and peaceful environment. The apartment is well equipped and very clean. The garden is beautiful along with the pool which are both maintained to a very high standard. The location of the Carmen is ideal in which to explore Granada.

Loved this get-away in the old neighborhood. After busy afternoons of sightseeing, it was always refreshing to return to our garden and cozy apartment. Restaurants and bars were a short walk away, so we could easily enjoy the area at night. Highly recommended!

Our apartment was beautifully decorated with traditional touches, lovely and cool after a day of sight seeing. We walked to all of the main attractions that Granada has to offer. The restaurants and local flamenco show kept us busy in the evenings. Our main reason for choosing this accommodation was the pool in the garden and this was a highlight each evening, the owners have divided the garden up so that each apartment has a little bit to themselves, that includes table and chairs and shade from both trees and umbrella. Both ladies were extremely helpful and full of local knowledge.Granada is split into areas and this accommodation is in the most picturesque area, for those that need a change from sight seeing the main shopping street is a real delight..A real gem of an apartment.

The Carmen de Ramilla is located quite close to San Nicola Mirador, and is ideal for exploring the Albaycin area of Granada. The quiet surroundings, beautiful courtyard with flowery shrubs, fruit-laden trees, and swimming pool enhance the experience and warmth of Andalusia. The hosts make you feel right at home, go out of their way to share information and guide you to all the best sights that Granada has to offer. Their dedication to maintaining an authentic Andalusian environment is evident everywhere. The room is decorated in line with the rest of the complex in true Andalusian style. The modern amenities are tastefully set to make the guests enjoy the stay more. Everything is kept clean, and the bed is comfortable. The key attraction of Granada, Alhambra, is about 15-20 minutes away. Do note that the walk up the hill after you cross the bridge is quite strenuous. Best to keep an additional 10 minutes to make this stretch. Of course, watching the hues of Alhambra and the hillsides at sunset from Mirador San Nicolas is an experience in itself. Carmen is on a one-way street and quite difficult to get to if arriving by car. The road restrictions and lack of proper signs make it mandatory to follow the exact directions provided by the hosts. I strongly recommend Carmen de Ramilla for stays in Granada.

Very relaxing and nice place in a great location. Helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to the Alhambra. Clean and well equiped. Nice bathroom. Great that you could park your car in a covered parking garage (10 euro per day).

I cannot recommend Carmen de Ramilla highly enough. The property itself is in the Arab quarter, built in the Islamic style round a central garden. The garden itself is beautiful with a pool to dip into when the heat of the day becomes too much (it's long enough to do lengths in too :)). The rooms are traditionally decorated, but with all the necessary details including of course air con, which in the summer is a life saver. But for all that, it is the owners who make it. Speaking English, French and Spanish between them, nothing was too much trouble from giving us very clear directions about where to enter the Alhambra from to explaining how the buses worked and which ones we should get, to booking our cab to the airport and giving us precise instructions about what time we should be in place waiting. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful time in Granada. Staying in the Albayzín area was great escape from the city. Note its an uphill walk or cab at night. All super safe. Lots to see. We wish we stayed three nights instead of two.

Our stay at Carmen de Ramilla was fantastic. The location of the accommodation was very good, we were right in the heart of the old center, within walking distance to most sights. Lots of restaurants, bars and cozy atmosphere. The owners did a very good job in turning this old house into a gem with a very nice garden and lots of space to spend time at the property.
