Stayed here last week with my friend, 3 night break . Check in was quick, even though we arrived earlier than check in time. Beautifully clean, staff constantly cleaning , pool area lovely, bar prices not extortionate. We stayed B and B, breakfast was great, good selection . Room was clean and daily maid service. A little out the way from resort centre but train station a 5 min walk and only 2 stops away from centre although this could be pricey if there for a week or more and like us wanting the beach, shopping and resort centre for restaurants and bars etc as not a lot close to hotel Reception happy to ring taxi if needed. Staff very helpful and pleasant The only criticism would be the need for cushions on sun loungers- not comfortable to lie in plastic slats all day Overall a fab stay and thank you Royal Costa

Just returned from a 4 nigh all inclusive stay at the Royal Costa and it has to be one of the best 3 star we have stayed in. The food was brilliant, beds comfortable and air conditioned. Staff very friendly. The area is in a beautiful residential area with gorgeous villas dotted around. The beach is 10 minute walk and the promenade takes you to Torremolinos but would take a good 40 minutes but a beautiful walk. Train station beside hotel so got train from airport and 2nd stop is the hotel Los Álamos. Would definitely return.

Went to to Royal Costa for a hen do. Stayed 3 nights. Hotel itself very nice, rooms a bit dated but nice size and clean. Shower over bath and bidet, hairdryer in bathroom. Free air-con always a bonus great for this time of year. Lovely pool and pool area, very small children’s pool and main pool very deep 140cm at its shallowest and 300cm at the deepest. Lots of sun beds and umbrellas. Pool bar was great snacks and variety of drinks. They could do with putting the sandwiches in a Tupperware type container rather than just cover with a serviette because bread went hard and stale in no time. Food was ok for a 3 star a bit limited but plenty of it. The tables weren’t cleared and often had to clear them ourselves before we could eat or plates were being taken if you put your knife and fork down in between mouthfuls towards the end of meal times! Didn’t stay in for the entertainment so can’t comment on that. Other positives 5 minutes to railway station €1:80 into Torremelinos which has lots of bars. Nightlife doesn’t really start until about 2am. Taxis plentiful and all metered and the same price approx €10 to hotel. My only complaint about this hotel is the rudeness of the female receptionist and that no-one really spoke English which makes things very difficult when trying to get information. I feel if you are a receptionist in big hotel catering for English tourists which made up the majority of the guests you should have good English. This particular receptionist was incredibly rude. Also had something taken by the maids. The beach is glorious and 10 mins easy walk away. There are sun beds with mattresses and very comfortable. Waiters will take your orders and bring you drinks, would recommend the Pina Colada’s! All in all we had a great time I would recommend the hotel as a base but the staff need to improve their English.

Last minute holiday for my daughters 6th birthday. Very close to the airport so transfer was very quick. Hotel is further out than i would have liked but luckily the los alamos train station is literally a 5 minute walk round the corner(you can see it from the pool). Wasnt very expensive or hard to use so we utilised that most days visited torremolinos, benadelma, fuengirola plus other stops on the route of the train.Lots of things to do within reach so defintely worth exploring. The main pool is quite deep(im 5ft5 and i was stood on my tip toes at the shallow end) and the baby pool was pretty small so we struggled to utilise the pool for my daughter to do swimming as alot of people gathered down the shallow end. Paid for wifi for the week 25 euro which i utilised while my daughter was playing with friends so for me it was worth it. Play area is right next to main pool which was great as i could keep an eye on my daughter between the pool and play area. Staff miserable as hell and to be honest quite rude lucky if you got one word from them. Food was ok managed for a week, daughter struggled though. Nothing fancy or anything to shout about.Theres a corner shop and a few restaurants up the round, we regularly used the shop. Our room was at the back of the hotel nothing to see which meant no noise either which was perfect for us.Room was basic did us for a week, rooms were very warm tho and air con didnt seem to help. Ideal for a base wouldnt have liked to have been there for longer than a week. Alot of spanish children took over the hotel too.

the food was very poor, only the cheapest cuts of meat served which were very fatty and under cooked, also everything else was cold even if you went to eat as soon as the restaurant opened. paid for all inclusive for me and wife could not eat the food so had to eat out which cost 550 euros for our 12 night stay. we chose this hotel be cause it stated that it did not allow stag or hen parties we had 3 stag and 1 hen during our stay. also every 3 days 40 teenagers would arrive with only 2 adults to supervise them but they were more interested in drinking than keeping them under control so they were left to run riot taking over the pool and the sun beds chanting and shouting and spoiling everybody's day. also the spanish teenagers were throwing their footwear at the pigeons and using their towels to try to catch them. miserable staff unless you were spanish. one good thing was the cleanliness of the rooms which were serviced every day. also on their web site they say about the sea view but forget to mention the train station next to their complex where the trains pass and stop ever 15 mins, and the aircraft that fly close to the hotel every 5 mins.
