Came to celebrate my wife's birthday and had the most amazing experience. Loved the sea view (hotel is just by the seashore), restaurant, swimming pool and especially jacuzzi. Breakfast and dinner were also amazing with excellent variety. The Director Miguel Angel was very friendly towards guests. Fantastic atmosphere and great and Friendly staff members namely: Enrique, Marina, Jose Miguel, Merino, Francis, Manuel, Bridgette and many more. Would definitely visit again soon.

Nice beach front hotel in great location. Older fashioned hotel but very clean The outside area was better with nice modern sun loungers but most of them had towels on them but no one on them which we didnt like so we headed to the beach instead Breakfast was good with plenty choice. We also enjoyed the Beach bar which had a nice atmosphere

We have been to this hotel many times before COVID and were excited to be coming back (we are still here as I write this!) However this stay has been very disappointing. We booked a side sea view room and we’re on the car park side so actually had a great view, this was the only good thing about the room. The furniture was VERY shabby and old, one of the wardrobe doors only opened if you pushed your whole weight against it and the bathroom had the most awful drain(?) smell ALL of the time. On to the pool area, well don’t get me started!! Unless you were prepared to get up before sunrise to claim a bed then forget it!! There was no one in the hotel or pool area stopping people from putting towels on beds and then leaving them unoccupied for hours! On one occasion when we did manage to get a bed at least 6 of the beds around us were unoccupied for at least two hours during the day. I think there really needs to be a lifeguard/duty person to police this so that those wishing to use this area during the day (for the whole day) can do so. There were the occasional bed in the grass area but it was plagued by flies and lost the sun by lunchtime). The pool although very clean has started to lose some tiles around the steps. We were only B & B and the breakfast as always was great (apart from the lack of cross contamination possibilities from shared juice/milk bottles etc). The staff in the restaurant are amazing they work so hard and are always very friendly. The indoor pool and gym are a great thing to have and one of the reasons we kept returning! We have loved this hotel on the past years but unfortunately the experience we have had this year will probably mean that we will not be returning which is sad as it has made our Carihuela holidays amazing 🥲

The first thing is that this hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel, it may have been, in the long distant past, pre-covid and even possibly pre-century but not nowadays, it is a 3 star at best, not even a 3 star plus. I will list the pros and cons of this hotel PROS 1. The location is fantastic right next to the beach. CONS 1. The restaurant: understandably the hotel must cater for all ages & nationalities, with the food overall not too bad. When you sat at your table for your evening meal, the waiter or waitress asked what you would like to drink, without a drinks menu, as they never had one, it was a guessing game what they had to offer, OK we're in Spain, could I have a Sangria please? sorry we don't have any, OK let's guess the wine the hotel has in stock, could I please have a glass of Sauvingon Blanc? sorry we don't have any, we have house wine was the reply..it was easier to guess what the hotel never stocked.!! OK water then...surely they had that.!! You can either pay for these drinks at the time or charge them to you room...no checks that its the correct room number you are giving them, which only comes to light when checking out.. 2. The rooms: our room had a shocking view, it was advertised as "a side sea view", if it wasn't for the day of the triffids plant which was covering the view it may have been possible to catch a glimpse of the sea, one of the first issues encountered was that the bathroom door did not close, after 3 attempts reporting the issue to reception (which I will come on to later) the maintenance guys appeared and took the door away, no privacy then.!!, I pointed out that the wood surround around the door was warped due to the water cascading around the bath from the shower onto a pool on the floor, which obviously never happened overnight, this must have been like this for months. To prevent this from continually happening a towel was placed around the bath to catch the water..still no possibility of a room change. 3. The staff: some of the reception staff, not all, did not have the welcoming appearance you would expect from a 4 star hotel, or even a 3 star or even a 2 star.!! By going to their reception counter you had to realise that you were actually annoying them, by asking them questions, I began to wonder if these employees were forced to work here as they obviously didn't want to be there, also ensure that you double check your bill when checking out, you may have a charge for something you never ordered, (as mentioned previously when ordering drinks with the evening meal), as the couple next to me when checking out happened to them. 4. The sun loungers: there is not enough for the amount of guests which were booked in, if you wanted one near the pool, then the towel would need to be on a vacant lounger before the sun came up, but not before 0830 as the night receptionist was patrolling the lobby on guard to ensure this operation could not be performed before that time..the little bit of power had gone to his head.!! Overall it would be a pleasant stay for an overnighter, but lacks what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel, which it still clings onto this rating.!!

Stay overnight to meet friends. Check-in was efficient and the staff friendly. Room (Eco) was small but as expected and sufficient from an overnight. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Used the pool on afternoon of arrival. Managed to get loungers on the grass area. But would agree with some other reviews that the pool area and available sun loungers is probably not sufficient for a hotel of this size. Breakfast needed to be booked to manage numbers and during our visit it was reasonably well managed. The fare on offer was very good, plenty of variety and choice. The hotel was well maintained throughout. It is in a great location for the beach and walking into La Carihuela or Benalmadena. Parking is conveniently available at a concessionary price in an ajoining carpark. No complaints from us, we enjoyed our short stay.
