Perfect for connection to airport , decent breakfast but at busy times could have been better staffed to replenish hot food and prvide clean crockery. Had heard there were pancakes, but no such choice just the usual hot buffet, pastries, yoghurts, meats, etc. Good quality but standard selection. Room lovely but just not very sound proof. Kept us awake when the neighbour left their TV on all night. Could hear every word of their phonecalls, toilet use, etc. Clean room, huge bed. Nice reception staff. Would return again, but would ask for a room without an adjoining door.
Location - The hotel is located in an easily accessible location (in the same building as the main railway station of Malaga - Maria Zambrano Station). There are good connections to various other cities like Marbella, Torremolinos via bus or trains. Customer Service - I had some issue in my room on the first day of my stay. I sent an email to the Guest Experience Manager - Mireia Blanes. Immediately the next day I was contacted by Mireia and was provided with another room to my satisfaction. Never seen such a swift action from a manager in any other other hotel. Breakfast - Really good spread with many choices. All the breads and croissants were also fresh. Huge variety of fruits to choose which is hard to find in many other hotels.
The hotel is extremely well located if you travel by train. It was clean, modern, convenient. We personally did not fully appreciate the room, but I can imagine that many people love the modern vibe. We found the lighting and electricity system a bit complicated, but we had no time to get to know it, because we arrived late at night and left early the next morning. Breakfast was nice, in a roomy area.
We arrived late at the hotel (4 am), due to a flight delay, but received a very warm welcome at the hotel. The room was very quiet, the bed comfortable, and the blackout blind worked well - all helping us to have a great night's sleep despite the delay. The service was great, the breakfast was delicious - I loved the omelettes and there was such a great choice of fruit, pastries, smoothies etc. We thought the hotel was great value for money, however as it is slightly out of the centre, we ended up doing a LOT of walking the whole trip, when this walk was added to the sightseeing, however, in hindsight I think we should/could have used the underground which is literally just below the hotel but we didn't spot this until we were going back to the airport! Would definitely recommend this hotel.…
The hotel is lovely the communal areas are well maintained and extremely clean. Our room showed signs of wear&tear and could do with a refresh. I did find the reception staff (gentleman) incompetent argued we booked a room for an adult & 2 kids when my booking with jet2 clearly showed 2 adults so we ended up with a put up bed taking up room the whole stay. Also he never took card details so when used the pool bar on leaving the pool area we were told that we had 10 minutes to sort the issue out bearing in mind we were in swimwear and were wanting to dress before heading back down to the reception I found the pool staff quite rude withvghis matter especially when the error was made by the check in staff. Location is good if you are wanting to travel around however if you want to be central then this is not the hotel for you its approx a 20min walk into town. Breakfast was fantastic you didn't want for anything & staff kept the area tidy. I would stay hear again & hopefully next time the niggles will have been sorted.…
We returned after ten days away in the canary Islands for another short stay at this great hotel. We were surprised but delighted that they gave us an upgrade to a junior suite at no extra cost. The reception staff were excellent and made us very welcome. The upgraded room was lovely, though being on the route to and from the roof terrace there was occasional noise as guests arrived and left
The hotel was excellent - very high standard of decor and cleanliness. The bed was absolutely huge and soooo comfortable. Great location to to hop on a train to go further afield, and perfect for a city break in wonderful Malaga.
The hotel is located 20 minutes walking distance from the Center of the City and most cultural attractions. Gastronomical experiences and clubs are within the vicinity of the Center too. It is located at the Train terminal. There are pharmacies, laundry/dry cleaners, tailors, last minute travel stores, etc. The taxi station is right at the exit of the terminal and Uber is available as well. There is a Corte Ingles Store and a Shopping Mall within 10 minutes walking distance. It feels like the Staff is trained to serve VIP guests.
When we arrived, we were met by the hotel staff with a smile. They told us that we had been chosen as the VIP guests of the day. It was so lovely to have sparkling wine, late checkout, chocolate etc. The service was excellent. Good location, and in all, Malaga surprised me a lot. I like it
Trip to Malaga with my partner for a music festival. Had stayed in a Barcelo before and had a great experience and his was no different. Fantastic hotel, great location and friendly staff. Luis in the lobby bar was particularly friendly, chatting to us every day and giving recommendations of things to go and see in Malaga. We will definitely be back.
