We stayed here upon arrival to Malaga for one night, before leaving the next day for Seville. The staff were not welcoming in the least. Perhaps it was their lack of english-speaking skills, but since this is their business, that would be a poor reason for the sour service.I chose this hotel based on its 4 star rating. So much...

We tried to get in the Barcelo Hotel, which we like, but it was full. We were directed across the street to the Sercotel. We had just finished an intense 11 day motorcycle tour of Morocco and needed a day of rest. After charging us $120 Euros for our room, we discovered the hotel was in full reconstruction - hammering,...

Stayed at this hotel in the beginning of March 2017. The room was nice and clean, as was the bathroom, however, despite Malaga not being too warm at this time of year, our room was way too hot to sleep in despite us trying to turn the aircondition to maximum. Breakfast was also quite average, with a plus for great...

First impression was good as hotel looks nice from outside, plenty of shops around and the train station just round the corner! But as we stepped through the main door different story, the stuff aren't friendly at all, didn't even bother to explain how to get to the room, no smiles or any help to get air conditioning fixed in...

We loved our stay here. The hotel room was super clean and pretty swanky for the good deal we paid. It has all the basic and necessary amenities and is near a bus station as well as a supermarket that came in really handy. The beds were comfortable which was important to us since this was our first destination as...

We stayed here as a family of 3 for a long weekend. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, typical european with cold meats, cheese, salad and the usual continental items. Lovely spa tub - big spaces. No pool. Big rooms. Perfect for the family. The reception staff could do with some 'happiness' everytime I came...

So we travelled to Malaga after spending 4 days in Seville. On arrival we were looking for the hotel that we booked the 'Silken Puerta Hotel' - but during the time that we had booked to arriving (which was late Decemeber) the hotel had changed name/owners and no-one had bothered to let us know - just an email or something...

We arrived here on Friday 13th January....as we approached the hotel, my phone GPS kept telling me that the hotel had permanently closed down! So unsure of what to expect, we went into the hotel and they clarified to us that they had now taken over the Hotel Silken Puerta Malaga. We were just happy that we had somewhere to...

Pros of this hotel. It's very easy to get to from the airport. 3 stopsat €1.80 to the Maria Zambrano train station and then the hotel is a 2min walk away. Shopping Centre is part of the train station and there is a supermarket directly opposite the hotel. The room is what you would expect by Irish standards. Not too...

Stayed here on 29 Dec with 2 couples to see the Xmas decorations in Malaga centre. Upon arrival there were no other guests at reception but check in was extremely slow.
