The hotel looks a little seedy from the outside, a narrow facade which suggests cramped conditions inside. But that hides a more rewarding truth. Undoubtedly, the hotel has seen better days - a bit more shabby than chic - but the rooms are a good size and well soundproofed from the frenetic traffic outside. And that's where it wins out...

I am a frequent visitor to Malaga and normally stay in another hotel but was fully booked so went for The Venecia. Extremely central for town, castle, cathedral, central station and the port. Extremely courteous reception staff. Our room was on the second floor and was bigger than I expected with a very spacious bathroom with bath and shower which...

I stayed at Venecia for a one night stop over before moving on. The location is great and in walking distance of Malaga's historical sights, restaurants, shops and cafes. It's also easily reached from the airport by bus or taxi (I paid 20 Euros for a taxi). I was also impressed with the wifi - it's free and fast. The...

I really had no idea what to expect of this hotel. I knew it was not going to be a luxury hotel but I couldn't really tell from the photos what the overall feeling would be. I was pleasantly surprised. True, this is no luxury hotel but I had a very spacious room with a very spacious and nice bathroom...

Stayed for 2 nights. First night was pretty horrific. Air-conditioning didn't work, bed was uncomfortable and small for 2 people, fairly uncomfortable too. Not the cleanest, scum in the bath and the tiles needed a good scrub! We raised the issue the next morning, not the most helpful response but eventually got moved to a twin room with a clean...

We stayed in the Venicia in mid January 2017 and the airport bus stopped right outside. This was an absolute perfect hotel to explore the old town of Malaga, the shopping area and the marina and botanical garden walk. We loved the location and the friendly staff, the hotel itself was old but very clean and tidy. Breakfast is in...

Very friendly lady at reception, I received a top floor room. The room was back-to-back with the old elevator, with electronic whizzing to be heard in the room every time it is used. Later at night I closed the bathroom door, which mysteriously locked behind me. I was for forced to move room in the middle of the night in...

Best location ever cross the road you are in ave de Larios Room was very clean , breakfast fine except not fresh orange juice which is disappointing , but at the price no complaints . I asked for a taxi to get me to Malaga airport , hotel told to walk to the end of the road , which wasn't...

Ideally placed hotel is right outside the airport bus stop and opposite the old town and next to Marian. However this hotel is right on a main road so traffic noise starts early. The most annoying thing are the pigeons who wake at 4am and restaurants opening up at 5am in the alleys surrounding the hotel. So over the 4...
