We stayed here in a Privilege room for one week. The room was very spacious and our balcony was huge, with the most beautiful views of the pool and sea. We could not fault the staff, from those at reception, in the lounge and pool bar to the housekeepers. A very minor point is that the bed was too firm for us but we lived with this because the room was so lovely. I would like to have seen a larger choice of snacks in the privilege lounge and sunbathing areas but we could not complain about the food in the restaurants, other than there was no paella on the Spanish night. A special mention has to be made for Karin, at reception, who was so helpful. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting.
Visited this month on a golfing trip it was wonderful. Very spacious, near estepona town. Spectacular views and staff were very accommodating to any queries or needs. The only small concern was the beach beds aren’t the best but that’s very small thing. I will be back hopefully soon!
Drinks are quite expensive,as are lunchtime meals, hence,go all inclusive. Avoid the fish and BBQ nights, not worth the effort. Cheaper to eat and drink out at the marina,a 15min walk away. Lovely hotel with excellent staff that would benefit enormously by being adult only.
One of our favorite Hotels on the Costa Del Sol, so glad we made it back after lockdown. The Hotel was as expected spotlessly clean, staff wearing masks, felt very safe here. We travelled with Jet2, who else, they are great. All on time, loads of staff and the services of Mrs Jayne Mcilwrick, the Jet2 Customer Resort Helper at the Hotel, she is one of the best, nothing too much trouble and so good at her job, thank you Jayne We like this Hotel as its a little way out of Estepona but within walking distance of the Marina, it is therefore pleasantly quiet, a bit further from Marbella for the Weekend Stag Parties which is a relief and very well managed 3 Lovely pools, one heated and a small pool for children, for Beach lovers a short walk takes you to a sheltered beach, great for children. Buses are nearly and for trips out Puerto Banus, Gibraltar and Rhonda are all within reach for a day out The grounds are well kept and new developments close by make for an interesting walk as the walkways have been extended along the coast We were on Half Board, Food was excellent, wine very reasonable, great choice with Chef's on hand, they have themed evenings and the Hotel does provide entertainment We will certainly return later this year after the summer as this really feels like a home from home…
I stayed here in All Inclusive in May '22, and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! On arrival we were upgraded from our double room, to a Superior room with a Sea view on the top floor. The view was incredible and we loved our room. It was spacious, clean and modern, we couldn't have asked for much else. It was cleaned daily with new towels and sometimes chocolates left for us. When I booked I'd also mentioned that we were here on our anniversary, and as we came into the room we had a bottle of Prosecco with 2 glasses and a lovely note as a surprise. It set us up on on our holiday perfectly. The Pool area is amazing, the palm trees around the lagoon style pool make this the real selling point for the hotel. One of the pools is heated whilst the other isn't so depending on whether you want to cool off with a cold dip, or swim in the slightly warmer one, it was nice to have the option. The Pool Bar has great food too. We actually preferred to eat here than in the Buffet restaurant for lunch, as we could get Burgers, Pizza, Salad, Baguettes, Sandwiches, all part of the All inclusive, and sit in the sun rather than indoors. It is also closer to the local town than a lot of people give it credit for too. You can walk to Estepona in around 20 minutes, and once there you have plenty of food options. We actually had the best Tapas we've ever had at one of the Local restaurants. So good that we went back again the next night. If you don't want to walk for 20 minutes then you can hire bikes from the hotel for pretty cheap. We did this a couple of times and rode down the sea front and within 5 minutes you're in Estepona Town (which is beautiful by the way) We booked 2 massages in the Spa during our stay, which was amazing. The Spa area is in its own quiet and relaxing area, where you are very well looked after. The massages aren't cheap, but I don't think they are expensive either. Plus if there's one thing I'm happy to spend money on on holiday, its a massage. And if you want to pay to go through and use the Spa Pool, you can get access to the Jacuzzi, Steam room, and Sauna. Something I'd recommend doing at-least once whilst you're there. We had one rainy day we were there and made the most of it by spending it in the Spa instead! A couple of little extras that really made the hotel great, where the free daily pool towels and the refillable water bottles for our whole trip (which is handier than you realise when its mid 20's all day). Little things like that made it better than other hotel's I've stayed in. If you're thinking of booking, I highly recommend going all Inclusive. The food and drink there is great, but if we were to add up the amount we'd have spent without being all inclusive, I doubt we'd have been better off and we definitely made our money's worth. We did indulge a lot though, so if you're not a big eater or drinker, then you may be ok. I will be recommending this hotel and Estepona to anyone thinking of going to the Costa Del Sol, and I'll be considering going back to the same hotel next year for my summer holiday.…
OUTSTANDING!! I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday and honestly it did not disappoint! I upgraded our room to privilege and contacted the staff before arriving to arrange a few surprises. The staff were very quick at responding and everything went as planned. When we checked in the gentlemen explained everything to us and was incredibly helpful. He couldn’t do enough to help! (Wish I got his name) We were on the 6th floor with the most amazing view of the sea from our balcony and then the mountains at the back. The room was modern, big and spotless! Our room was cleaned twice a day and all towels changed. The little touches in the room were so lovely, the chocolates, robes and slippers, and fruit. The walk from the hotel to the marina is a lovely stroll, we walked past a fab restaurant on the way and had to stop off for cocktails to admire the view! We then continued along the beach to the marina. We did this walk everyday and took us 20minutes. From the marina to the start of the promenade is about another 20minutes but it’s such a nice walk we was in the old town in no time at all. In the evenings the staff at the hotel ordered us taxis to the old town which was 5-10 minutes. We stayed at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis as we love to go out and eat. We visited the a la carte breakfast restaurant which was brilliant! Fresh juices, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and then could choose a cooked breakfast. As we were privilege we could also use the lounge. This room had sofas, tv and non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks plus canapés (which were delicious) Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the spa as there was so much to see and do (we was only there for 4 days) but it looked fab! There is so much more I could praise this hotel for, it was just brilliant. Thank you to all the staff you were amazing!!…
The hotel was nice, food good, staff were helpful. The transfer took almost 2 hours. It was 25 minutes walk to the marina, then another half an hour into the centre of Estapona. There were no shops, cafes, restaurants near the hotel. Our room was never cleaned till after 4pm this happened every day, I think it was only cleaned at midday about twice during our stay. Would not go back to this hotel again 🤐
My familiy and I spent almost 3 weeks in this hotel and we can only recommend. Everthing was just perfect: the location was so beautiful, the staff was incredibly nice, professional, always ready to help and welcoming. The food was delicious, we always had enough choice at the Buffet and the quality was so good! The hotel is clean and offers lots of activities. You cannot get bored. We rarely experienced such a perfect service. Recommend 100%
Having recently experienced a wonderful holiday in the Riu Hotel Nerja I arrived at the H10 Palace Estepona with an air of expectancy. However, what a disappointment to the aged sixty traveller. Here are my observations; as a platform the hotel is most adequate. The pool area is insufficient to cater for the number of guests. The chairs on the beach are chained to the center pole and the beds were not cleaned. The chains limit movement. The beach was not suitable for swimming due to rocks and stones which were a hazard to swimmers. The dinning area had a canteen feel and lacked atmosphere. Not four star by any metric. It was clean and the staff diligent. One chef managed the hot food area which led to a significant wait. The food was good but selection limited. The fish was excellent. The desserts lacked any imagination as the salad area. This is the first hotel I have seen staff from the hotel eating with the guests which was strange as it did not impact food quality. The bar area was adequate however most attention was afforded to entertainment for the children. The hotel is an all inclusive model and for an occasional drinker be prepared to pay nine euro for a Gordon’s Gin and Tonic measured moderately. The rooms were good I stayed in a superior with sea view. Cleaning excellent but mostly done in the afternoon to facilitate new guests I presume. The big draw back was the hen parties that happened to be guests during my stay. Quiet noisy for two nights otherwise the hotel was quiet. The hotel is not within walking distance to Estepona but is within walking distance to the harbour which is small by Spanish standards. The hotel was reasonable value however it was not value for what it delivered. Let the middle aged traveller beware I recommend the Riu Nerja or any other adult only non all inclusive hotel. The positive is the staff were friendly.…
I stayed here with my family for 10 days in April 2022. We had recently stayed at the H10 Timanfaya Palace in Playa Blanca so thought the Estepona Palacr would provide a similar type of Holiday to what we had in January. The Hotel is to the west of Estepona towards the edge of town . It is around a 30 minute walk to the Marina where there are a few shops and lots of restaurants and a pleasant Sunday morning market . The wonderful old centre of Estepona is a little further or a 5-10 minute taxi ride . The current fare is around €6-7 EUR one way. The bus stop is around a few min walk from the hotel and also goes into Estepona . There is a pleasant short promenade in front the hotel which goes around 1km to the west of the hotel and around the sand to the East. This makes a pleasant stroll. The beach in front of the hotel has been affected quite badly by recent winter and spring storms and there has been quite serious beach erosion . Large amounts of sand have been swept away. This we hope will be replaced soon and we hope you get your lovely beach restored to its previous look. We stayed here as a family in April 2022 . We chose the hotel as we had recently stayed (jan22) at the 4* Timanfaya palace in Lanzarote . We thought the experience should be similar . The hotel is around 3km away from the centre of Estepona . It’s a 1.5 km or 30 min walk to the marina where there are a few shops and lots of restaurants. The town is a10 min taxi ride which currently costs 6-7 EUR one way . The hotel has a decent sized pool area and lots of sun beds . The hotel is very clean and the cleaning team do a fantastic job on the rooms and the hotel inside and out. The reception staff are very helpful and checkin was very smooth . We had two standard rooms towards the far side of the hotel . This was quite noisy at times and whilst we did consider asking to be moved we left it a little late to decide. If you want a peaceful quiet room do try to avoid the rooms on the far right side as there is a car park and road which is quite noisy early in the morning (6-7am) As many have already commented there is a charge for the safe which we found a little odd considering the hotel seem to spend a lot of money on rather unnecessary large beach bags and lots of toiletries but charge you to keep your valuables safe. Please H10 just add €2 to the room charge and remove this silly extra charge . We took our own towels so did not use the hotels Our main area we think needs improving is the food and dining experience. The dining room is not huge and at breakfast it’s quite a busy experience. The food is not very hot and only lukewarm at times . Often items run out and are not replaced quickly and the staff seem very busy. Only one lady cooking eggs, omelettes and pancakes with queues developing and in general quite a lot of people trying to get served at once . The food choice is ok for breakfast but 4* food probably not - no choice of poached eggs and very greasy bacon at times with orange juice from machines . This was very different to the 4* Timanfaya Palace where breakfast choice totally much better and much more staff . Dinner was also very average with the same food on week 2 as week 1 . The menu is bland and average and a complete mish mash. Italian night consisted of just mousses for dessert and fruit but German night had tiramisu Both this hotel and the Timanfaya Palace are H10 4* hotels but are miles apart in terms of food quality and menu choice . There is also a lack of staff in the bar in the evening often just one or two poor girls struggling with a queue of people . Don’t really want to queue on holiday and this is not of 4* standard . We saw a few staff one evening and then gone again the next . The whole bar and restaurant staffing is not working properly and needs to be addressed . Totally understand about covid but visited the Timanfaya Palace in Lanzarote in Jan 22 with level 3 restrictions and they had no issues at all with any of these Kindly suggest the management and those who reply to Tripadvisor comments spend a few days at the Timanfaya to see how a restaurant and bar area can be run in an H10 hotel We enjoyed Our stay and we enjoyed loved Estepona old town but probably this hotel is not at present up to the level we are used to in Lanzarote .
