Personally I like places like this, a hotel turned former monastery. Lots of things to explore, many details in decoration, somebody really took care for keeping the historic touch. Basically the general rating considering breakfast, rooms, parking, staff, etc. is 4 but this effort is worth a top rating. Not so easy to find by the way. The old part... More

We stayed at this Hotel for 3 day while visiting for the MotoGP at Jerez. It was part of a short travel package, so I can't comment on value. The Hotel staff were very friendly & efficient, and the architecture & décor was an added treat. The Hotel had large well appointed rooms, a great buffet breakfast, large Bar with... More

The hotel is an old building, knowing the history of the building itself is a good feeling. The breakfast is ok. The staff were helpful. The location is good. Not much to do, however nearby there are some good restaurants especially if you are looking for stake house,,,,,,

The place would be nice, an old monastery converted into a four star hotel. The location is also very convenient, in the centre of the seaside resort of El Puerto de Santa Maria, a nice old village where Columbus prepared his trips to the West Indies. The beach, however is at a few km from the centre. You may either... More

Lovingly converted and manitained former convent. Immaculate white walled wide corridors full of light and features from its former life. It exceeded my expectations in every respect and was spotless. Our standard room had a very good bathroom and a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the swimming pool and views of the town. The location was excellent for reaching... More

We visited this hotel for 5 nights and I have got to say it lived up to all our expectations and more, it was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, they have managed to keep a lot of it's history and character, the only small criticism we have is that there is no coffee making facilities in the room, we... We chose this hotel for its proximity to Cadiz and Jerez de la Frontera. We were very pleased once we got here as the hotel has maintained a lot of the character of the monastery it once was. We had some issues finding parking as we arrived after sunset, and there are many narrow streets, many of them one-ways. The... More

El Puerto de Santa Maria is a well situated town close to highways and Cadiz and the white towns including Ronda. Just an hour or so to Gibraltar and Algeciras. The hotel takes up a full block and is elegantly decorated. The pool is very inviting and in a park-like setting. We saw all kinds of people there: family reunion... More

An excellent hotel, just an easy ten minute walk from the centre of Puerto de Santa Maria. The town is ideally located in the greater area of Cádiz with the old centre of Cádiz only 20 minutes away by regular ferry and Jerez only 10 minutes on the train. Seville is also easy on the train but Gibraltar is very... More

I loved this hotel, quirky, charming and completely central, but down a quiet street. What more can you ask for! Loved everything about it, good value for money as well . I felt it was clean, nice staff. Good food, and would appeal to those with more cultured tastes. Interesting place to be too. The city is lovely and traditional,... More
