A great location in the middle of the old town. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Upstairs they have a lovely roof terrace bar, which is reasonably priced. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel and we'd definitely go back.

Was a little nervous about booking here because I didn't know the area. But since the refund policy was traveler friendly, I decided to do it and booked a double room with private bath and shower .Wow, I am glad I did! Although not "fancy" who needs fancy when the place is immaculately clean, the location is great (easily walkable to cafes, entertainment, transportation, shopping and sightseeing), and the staff is very accommodating . There is a small bar upstairs with beautiful views of Cadiz. There is also another very clean sitting room area where you can make a quick cup of coffee or do a small bit of laundry before you start your day. I am planning on returning to Cadiz and will book my stay at Alquimia Hotel again. It is SO nice to be pleasantly surprised!

Stayed here on short winter break - very good price for such a central location (walk to sea-front, or into the old town). I had a large ground floor room, with bathroom (under-floor heating!) No frills such as tea/coffee room facilities, no onsite eating available (cafe within 50m walk) but very good wi-fi. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a birthday treat and were pleasantly surprised at the location, quality of rooms cleanliness and very friendly receptionist. The hotel is a 2 min walk to the Plaza de Mina (very green plaza with Museum of Cadiz) and the sea walls. Its a great location to base your self and explore the old town of Cadiz. The rooms were bright, not tired, clean with art decor to add freshness. The receptionist was very helpful and gave us lots of advice, free maps and on places to explore. We will go back again.
