Situated in the old town of Cádiz we loved the atmosphere created by the staff, the piped music in the courtyard and the building itself. Standards are high in all areas and the rooms are well presented. The hotel is close to all the great sights. We parked our car opposite the hotel and if you ask for a long stay deal you will save on the 16 euros a day, we paid 35 for 3 days. Breakfast recommended, only 10 euros, and well worth it. All staff were brilliant and we will return. Loved Cadiz
It's not every holiday that you get to stay in a Dominican Convent! A lovely central place to stay in Cadiz, not far from the train/bus station and close to the town centre itself. A very warm welcome on arrival, clean and tidy with an atmospheric courtyard in which to relax and contemplate. What's not to like.
I stayed here with my wife for three nights recently and it was every bit as good as expected. One disappointment was that it was advertised as having parking facility but one booking, I got a note from the hotel to say that the parking was in a public car park within walking distance (which it was). I won't let that get in the way of a five star review though as the hotel is as atmospheric as any I have stayed in.
Top location in Cadiz, every sight can easily be reached by foot. The convent is a very impressive an tranquil historic site, rooms have good noise insulatuion. Furnishings are simple, but nothing is lacking, there's evena Nespresson machine in the rooms. Breakfast was very generous. Great value!
It was an excellent stay for 9 nights at the Convento. A good, large room with a good view to the Bahia (bay) Always clean and the bath robes was a nice touch. Very conveniently located - 5 mins walk from the train and bus station and also minutes from the cathedral and restaurants. We had a warm welcome by José that provided us with a lot of useful information for the sites to visit and local restaurants and helped us to find everything related to how to get to places around Cádiz (like Jerez and Tarifa) and local events.
