Stayed 2 nights and loved it. Was a nice surprise, it’s great when a hotel surprises you. Good: Service (especially Gabriela and Fran), everyone was really attentive. The hotel design was really good, it mixes modern with ancient (built on top of a Roman house and bath). The rooms were spacious and cool with good bathrooms and aircon that worked well. Nice things like USB ports. Everything was super clean. The pool area is really nice. The pictures on the web don’t do it justice. It’s like a garden oasis. Lots of comfy chairs and sofas. Great poolside service. Breakfast was in a nice courtyard with a glass floor and you can view the Roman house and mosaics below you. The location was also excellent within walking (15min) of most tourist highlights. The hotel also organised a tour of the Mosque with a nice guide (Rafael) who knew so much. There was also a spa and bathhouse. The hot/warm/cold pools were so nice and refreshing after a days touring. Bad: Nothing. Overall: this hotel helped us fall in love with Cordoba. It’s a great example of a hotel under promising luxury and over delivering.…
This was our second trip to this hotel. It’s location is great for exploring Cordaba. The rooms are lovely with everything you need. Staff are helpful and give an excellent service. The best bit about the hotel is the beautiful relaxing pool area and garden which is absolutely stunning. We had lunch and dinner, both were a good experience.
We stayed here recently for three nights to celebrate a big wedding anniversary. We found it to be perfect! What a pretty oasis in the middle of a city. Room gorgeous and comfortable. Every single member of staff we came across were polite, smiling and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious three course meal in the courtyard washed down with a refreshing white wine. The meal may have been a little more expensive than elsewhere however it was such a treat to eat in this pretty area and retire to our room only a few steps away. The atmosphere was just perfect! A decadent few nights away from normality for us. Breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious. The swimming pool was fantastic particularly as our stay was in the middle of a mini heatwave 🥵. We loved everything about Cordoba and the memories will stay with us for a long time. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend.…
4.5 stars. Gorgeous boutique hotel, a relaxing and comfortable oasis in historic Córdoba. Staff was friendly and responsive. Rooms are comfortable, well appointed and relatively large for European standards, large king bed, water is provided with small treats daily. The facility and grounds are beautiful, a renovated historic mansion. Located uphill from the main attractions, not a hard walk unless you have health or mobility issues. Great location to explore the historic sector, but in a secluded spot. Nice pool, patios and spa. This is without a doubt a worthwhile upscale option in Córdoba. Why not 5 stars? Restaurant/bar overpriced relative to options outside the hotel. While the pool area is beautiful and well appointed, it is limited in space and can feel overcrowded at times.…
This is a larger place than the other Hospes hotels we have been to in Andalusia. Impressive building with excavated roman ruins underneath the breakfast room which you can see. Our room was spacious and very conveniently located ( we had a deluxe junior). Dinner is in the terrace courtyard, which is a beautiful space. The food is pleasant but not special, and there are much better other eateries in town. Pool area is lovely, but quite busy. Still a great place to relax when the heat gets too much. A roman style bath, with hot, cold and tepid water baths, is available for guests but you have to book in advance and you have a one hour a day limit (though you won’t need anything like that much time). Fun to try out. Nice spa. A few things would have made the hotel a better place: a seating area for guests that is not in the corridor/thoroughfare and, given the size of the hotel, an exercise room would have been nice. Other than that, a lovely hotel.…
This hotel is a lovely oasis away from the crowds and heat of cordoba. Situated a pleasant 10 to 15 minute walk from the main sites its ideally located for those on foot. Very pleasant staff. Excellent rooms. My wife particularly wanted this review to highlight the excellent hairdryer!! The best she'd used in the myriad of rooms we've stayed in over the years! Breakfast was excellent. Overall I would highly recommend thus hotel as a base for your stay in Cordoba.
Lovely property a 10 minute wander from all the key sights. Very peaceful and the communal outdoor pool and courtyard was a lovely plus. There's an option to visit the Roman baths which were interesting but not unmissable. A good accommodation option for visiting Cordoba.
Exceptional hotel. A peaceful and luxurious location to visit Cordoba-. The service is to a very high standard. Pleasant courtyards for day and evening with a small pool. Roman baths are fun. We enjoyed the restaurant and found the ruins under the breakfast court yard to be interesting. Enjoyable trip
Excellent stay at a perfect location, close to the old city of Cordoba. Excellent service, nice tips for great restaurants in the neighborhood. The Roman bath beneath the hotel were a pleasant surprise !
Being a 4 star hotel I was hoping for more. The rooms are very small for a standard size even for Europe. We were told we could upgrade for 60 euros, I asked to see the room before I would upgrade. They told me the room would be ready at 5 pm. They never came to get me and when I asked reception later they said they could not do this at this time. The pool area is nice if you can find a spot to sit. Roman baths are nice but not worth the price of this hotel. Breakfast is not included and cost 23 euros per person. The hotel is near a school and if you plan to sleep in as you are out late in Spain good luck with that.
