The hotel doesn't look like much from outside but both the rooms, the service and the breakfast are excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The ladies at the reception were all very helpful and pleasant; the room was clean and spacious, we were able to park our car in the parking of the hotel and the breakfast was lovely. A great hotel.
Dirty and badly maintained ( see pics ). Powerless staff. Noisy. Weird layout (bathtube & toilet in the middle of the room). No closet to put your clothes. Wallpaper coming down, couch with cigar burns, AC not completely insulated. Wifi not working.
At the Eurostar Palace Cordoba hotel restaurant during breakfast my handbag with credit cards, cash, iPhone and progressive glasses was stolen, and I lost over 2,000 USD. Hotel reception assured me that no other people except people staying in this hotel could come to the restaurant. Hotel security cameras showed that some unidentified man who was not staying in this hotel, took my handbag and left the hotel. I filed a complaint at Cordoba Police station. Police investigated that two men who did a burglary came to the hotel to commit theft; they were not staying at the hotel. They had very clear intentions and they were prepared for that (they were carrying luggage and were pretending that they were staying at the hotel). I don’t think that this was the first burglary case in this hotel, just in my case I was not going to the airport and I had time to file a case with the police. Other people do not have time because they have to go to the airport in order not to miss a flight and even lose more money. The hotel manager straight away, without even apologizing, said that most probably hotel insurance will not cover this case and there will be no reimbursement from the insurance company as well as from the Eurostars Palace Hotel (I think they purchased the one which cost less). After two weeks I received a letter from a hotel which was sent to my home address in the US (all in Spanish and I don’t speak Spanish) saying that this is not their fault A hotel owes a duty to meet the industry standards of reasonable care to its guests. The hotel did not perform its duties properly, did not provide sufficient security. The hotel had a duty to prevent their occurrence and take all measures to prevent this from happening. But unfortunately, nothing was done. I came to Cordoba with an invitation from Departamento de Comercialización, Trade Relations Department of Spain based in New York in order to promote Cordoba province as well as Eurostar Palace Hotel for American tourists. Complaints to the hotel were sent from me, from the General Manager of Cordoba Tourism from the Trade Relations Department of Spain based in New York but the hotel just ignored all of them. Please stay away at any cost from this hotel, they don’t care about you, your belongings and your safety.…
More like a three star than a five star hotel. Comfy superior room on sixth floor, but the soundproofing is poor from outside, it comes through the gap around the balcony door (it only opens a little as it is restricted), you can hear the traffic noise all of the time, the bottles bins being emptied in the middle of the night. The jacuzzi/shower has stainless steel panels to stand on which can be slippery. Water comes under door, same around sink. Nowhere to hang towels when used. Free Wi-Fi didn’t work at first, they said it was a problem for the area, next day I asked again and was informed that I should choose one of the other Wi-Fi options at the hotel, also given a password which was not given the day before - problem sorted. The breakfast is extensive, however it felt like a free for all with other guests also serving themselves at the buffet. The bread stations are side by side, with at least half a dozen people trying to make toast in a very small and congested area. Got up to room late at night only to find that card access was no longer activated, back down to reception to sort it out. No apology. Eurostars now off our hotel list.…
Check-in took way longer due to the queue being badly managed, because of a lack of staff. Were often short of irons & on several occasions, I couldn’t get one. On a more positive note the hotel is well located & nice. I’d say it was a 4 star standard as opposed to 5, however it was also in the pricing range of a 4 star. Roof top pool & bar area was nice & service there was good.
I booked the Suite Palace for 3 nights at the Eurostars Palace Cordoba. The room description on the hotel's website is of a suite with a living room, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. On arrival I have been allocated 2 interconnecting rooms. The hotel management explained there are no suites with 2 rooms, only junior suites that can be joined with the adjoining standard room. We are a family of 4 and one of the children needs to sleep in a separate bedroom. That room is free to exit - which means at night he can open the door. We wanted a suite - with a single entrance and room key - for safety. It should be made clear that the Suite Palace is in fact interconnecting rooms. It is misleading to market them as a suite.
We are leaving this hotel in a few hours. After a 28-day tour (Portugal and Spain) and 9 hotels, this is my favorite. Geographically, it is situated around a mile (and most of the times much less…) from most the major attractions. We walked from the train station, on wide and flat side walks. Everything in the hotel is spacious: the lobby, the bar and the restaurant…you will never feel crowded. We got a room in the 6th floor (Superior room 602), top floor. It has a jacuzzi with double showers right in front of it…never saw something like it. The bedroom is spacious, with a panoramic window. The best part, there is a sliding door to make the bedroom private from the rest of the room (bathroom, zinc area and closet area). There is a very big pool on the rooftop, a pool long enough for you to do laps, or just do some sunbathing… We didn’t have a car (don’t need one in Cordoba), but they have parking included in the price if you are driving. We walked everywhere: the Alcazar, the Mezquita, the Caballerizas Reales, restaurants (Casa Rubio y Casa Pepe are a must!), Plaza de las Tendillas for good shopping…all is walkable from this hotel. Come and stay here if you ever visit Córdoba… Big thanks to the front desk ladies: Claudia y Maria (x 2). Ah, but you wouldn’t survive that place without Lola running the buffet breakfast and the bar. She really took good care of us…even asking about my wife when I came early (7:30 am or so) to get some coffee.…
We checked into this hotel today. My wife's brother had died a few hours before and our children had ordered flowers to be delivered. They were in the room in the plastic delivery wrapping when we arrived together with a note expressing condolences from the choldren. My wife went to reception to ask for a vase for the flowers. They said they would bring one to the room but after two hours no sign of the case. It's supposedly a 5* hotel. I would have expected a vase to be in the room with flowers to beginn with but certainly after a request.
Lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast included. Room was clean and comfortable and perfect location for walking to the old town to visit the Historic sites. The concierge was very helpful too in advising us on how to use our short time wisely.
Nice hotel located close to the old town with good secure underground parking. Large rooms, comfortable bed, although the smell of cigarette smoke pumped through the toilet extract was unpleasant. Breakfast options extensive and delicious.
