We have been here several times and have always been well and professionally served.
The menu is not particularly large, but there is something for every taste. There are certainly restaurants where you can dine more cheaply, but in my opinion the prices here are reasonable to the quality.
The drink wishes are quickly fulfilled and the food is also relatively quick. Freshly cooked just takes a while.
A small greeting from the kitchen is still served before dinner. It's always something different and not the usual bread with dip. I really like this.
The staff is attentive and so it is no problem to reorder drinks etc.

Excellent option in town. Comfortable room, good location, responsive staff, good breakfast. Why not a stronger rating? Well, there are some odd elements. The exterior of the venue looks like a historic hotel, but most of the rooms are in an über-modern annex with a weird metal staircase that's challenging to navigate. So for me the five star rating has to blow my socks off, and this hotel doesn't quite manage it.
Let me be clear, though, that I would return to this venue and I liked just everything about it as a solid option in town.

Super cozy hotel, with very large and clean rooms. a very personal service with many smiles. the restaurant makes a really good breakfast and delicious food at a reasonable price in the evening. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Close to the center and the sea. V

Be mindful that not all rooms are in the old building ( the main photo of the hotel). Some rooms are situated in a separate building.. avoid the rooms that face the street, quite noisy. Our room (31) was placed on top of the fitness gym cardio area with treadmills and you can hear the thumping of feet running😕. Too bad, because the room itself was really nice.. the low room rating is based on the noise from the fitness center.. which is excruciating if you have normal hearing

Central location. Nice clean hotel. Large room but a bit empty. Fine service with provision of parking space. Control of coronapas and eating breakfast in divided teams to computere with all restrictions.

Good location in the little town of Schleswig. The old building has charm, but don't take it for granted that you are being lodged in the main "alter" part. The annex just beside is very new and you may get a room in this rather charmless bunker-styled house.
We did end up on the first floor of this annex, dominated by some sort of nautical theme in furnishing. Strange interior with robust, to say the least, wooden furniture.
The standard was however high and you don't really miss anything of amenities.
No AC though.
Comfy beds. Clean.
Breakfast, served in the restaurant in the main building excellent - a huge variety to choose from.
Staff helpful.
Affordable.

The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent.
The restaurant was also very good.
The garden is a lovely feature.
Parking is easy and free.
Location is great.
The room I got in the original building was large but didn't make use of all the space. There was room for a comfy chair and a small coffee table but had only a desk with a basic chair.
Shower is on the small side but worked very well.
The bed is okay, however, I will never understand the german tradition with very large pillows with a lot of fabric but hardly any filling. You will have to push, fold and tweak the pillows into something with a little bit of height and repeat during the night. I've seen it in other places in Germany as well and it is not what I prefer at all. Kind of strange actually.
The conclusion: I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to Schleswig.

As we booked, we had the impression that we would stay in a old building, and looked forward to that. To our surprise we got a room in a ugly bunker next to the Hotel. Inside was not so bad, a sort of nautical theme was in place and the rooms were somewhat ok. A strange arrangement with chair and table presented as we were in a burger-diner, but we didn’t mind. Located near a historic village, the village was truly wonderful! Service and food was ok, both dinner and breakfast. The problem came as we went to bed. The pillow stinked of sweat!! I had to use the towels from the bath to be able to lay in the bed, thinking that someone might had forgotten to change the linen of the bed before we arrived…. Not much sleep that night! And no AC during a heatwave… ee opened the windows, since the road was right under them the traffic noise also kept us from sleeping.

Great hotel on transit to Sweden. Warm welcome. Interior a bit dated and could use a lick of paint. Comfortable beds, good and clean sanitary facilities. You start the day with an extensive breakfast buffet. You will be back on the A7 in 5 minutes.

Excellent hotel in itself. room was good, bed was fine, breakfast was also fine. However, we are not big eaters in the morning. Extra plus for the staff, very friendly and helpful. But also a minus, the WiFi is very poor. So slow that my laptop stopped uploading 6 photos to the cloud. a missed opportunity as far as I'm concerned
