The hotel is located almost evenly spaced dead center on the main pedestrian section of old town Wittenburg between the church and Luther's home. The parking is reached by the access road that runs along the back of the buildings and has a crossing arm blocking entry. The arm will automatically come up and allow you access when your car... The day before our scheduled arrival at this hotel we received an e-mail explaining that a major cycling event was taking place on the actual day of our arrival in Wittenberg and that many of the town's roads would be closed for long periods. It was suggested that these closures could hinder our arrival at the hotel, which is situated... More

Our GPS had a hard time finding the hotel due to the streets being pedestrian areas. It is easily approached from the rear where there is private parking. The people at the front desk were nice and we had no problem checking in. Our room was on the back, so it was very quiet and a very nice size that... More

On arrival our tour group was processed very quickly and easily. The rooms are a good size, my only complaint being the pillows of all European hotels which are as good as nothing. We had no air-conditioner and could only have the windows open after the cafes across the road closed as it was very noisy with happy revellers. However,... More

I stayed here for two nights in July in the family suite with my three teenagers. The family suite is two rooms each with double bed and a bathroom with a shower. Spacious. Large windows with view into building across small street. Ample German breakfast. Elevator. Lovely restored building. Front rooms, however, face the street with outdoor restaurants which wer... To expensive for what you get no microwave or fridge. Dirty rug. Also the rooms out front a very loud... More

If you like to feel like walking (or sleeping) in history, this is a great place to stay, just off the Wittenberg square. The walls of this historic building could tell stories, especially about their, neighbor Lucas Cranach, the famous painter. The building as bit artfully restored to house this hotel with nice large bedrooms, displaying old hardwood floors and... More

This is a very tastefully converted historic building on main street of Wittenberg. The rooms are a good size and well appointed. Staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was good and plentiful. There is parking at the rear, if needed. The big drawback, to what is essentially a great hotel, is its position. The rooms at the front... More

I really can't find anything bad to say about the hotel, so it gets 5 stars. Below are some things we enjoyed about the hotel....but I want to send out a caution about the town: The major churches are not open to visit due to reconstruction. That leaves only one major site in the very small city. We should have... More

The rooms at the hotel were very nice and clean and had everything that we needed for a wonderful stay. The parking in the rear of the hotel was full when we arrived so we had to seek parking elsewhere but it was close by. The front desk receptionist did not speak English, although the literature was in English and... More
