Upon arrival I asked for my reservation and the man behind counter ask for my name. But as soon as I started making questions about the accommodations this person refused to speak to me and stay "No English". I was surprised both because this man just spoke in English and also this is a hotel reception, how can you not... More

Good location, walking distance from the central station and all sights. The rooms are spacious and very convenient, and the staff is really trying everything to make you feel at home, they are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, although the breakfast room is rather small and becomes crowded very fast. I really liked the atmosphere of this hotel,... More

This is not a fancy place but it is OK, one could also rate it 4. Our room was simple but very clean. Beds were good. Staff was friendly but they ask one Euro for wifi access. Breakfast was OK. The hotel is located a 15 minutes walk outside the city center but therefore it's quiet.

We were driving around Germany for two weeks and drove into Leipzig at the last minute for a nights rest. We were looking for accomodation and found availability at a budget price at this hotel, so we booked and drove to the hotel. We probably arrived close to 10pm. The front reception was friendly and well accommodating, we were soaked... More

As the name implies, this hotel has a leisurely, low-key character which is quite relaxing. The room is adequately furnished, large bathroom, very good breakfast with good quality food and breads. Parking at the Mercure Hotel around the corner (discount price). Fifteen minute walk to the Altstadt. It would be helpful if the reception had the usual one page free... More

We arrived just after 10pm. The surly staff told us this was too late - very rude and unfriendly. At reception, instead of the twin room we had booked, we were informed that we had in fact booked two separate twin rooms and we had to pay for both, desspite the fact that we clearly only needed one and had... We liked the price of the room, no refridgerator and no A/C. We felt safe walking into the old town during the daytime but took a taxi in the evening. The walk was about 10 minutes but the area was dark and not alot of activity after dark, so it was just safer to take a cab. It was easy... More

This fine hotel is a short walk to the center city. The rooms are large, especially for Europe, with excellent bathrooms.
