I was very excited to learn a few weeks ago that Schloss Eckberg still existed. All my life family tales of Uncle Jean Souchay's little castle high above the river Elbe were, I had thought, just fanciful stories fuelled partly by an 18th century painting of his grandfather as a small child standing in front of a meandering river with... if you are into castles you will love it - beautifully located on a hill with great views over the river Elbe and a nice park between the three castles next to one another, food excellent in the restaurant

Castle style building with modern sleeping quarters adjacent - located in suburbs of Dresden, just a short tram ride away from city centre. Friendly staff, very well equipped, large and modern rooms with super baths all sparkling clean. Lovely well kept gardens and fountains in this quiet little hide-away that is still just a 15 minute tram ride away from... More

My husband and I stayed here for our 22nd anniversary and it was amazing. The hotel is even more beautiful than the pictures. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and it is just minutes away from the old part of Dresden. The room is pretty and very comfortable. Restaurant service and food was excellent though pricey (well worth price)

I went here only for group dinner and spent around 3 hours here in the afternoon. It has good view, you can enjoy the Elbe river and see the 2 bridges of Dresden. The building is fantastic and well maintained. Almost everything was clean and neat. The staff was also helpful to receive our group's luggage and everything. The dining... More

Make sure you book for the main castle, otherwise you land up sleeping on the property and this is not the same. We slept at the castle and wow, wow wow!! Breakfast suburb, room spacious and an experience not to be for forgotten.

While exploring the area around Dresden on a Stadtrundfahrt Dresden sightseeing bus, we stopped for a lunch break at Schloss Eckberg hotel. Sitting on a bluff overlooking the Elber River, this is an unbelievably beautiful spot. The food was excellent and the staff outstanding. I highly recommend a visit.

This is the same review that I sent to Booking.Com. I booked two nights prepaid, non-refundable in their Annex building for 170 euros. On arrival, I was told that my room was in the castle building. I took this to be an upgrade and it was only after the clerk said breakfast was,of course, included that I asked that if... More

Dear Sir, I`m sorry, but your review and comments are incorrect. We and booking.com have the same position. On your original booking, you request for a room in the castle, not in the annex house. We have offered this per mail and on check-in, too. But the price for this higher categorie was too high for you, so that you... More

Only one night but castle room was luxurious and spacious. Dinner in hotel restaurant was good and dinner service/staff exceptional. Unfortunately terrace area was taken over by corporate meeting in the evening but it rained some so not too disruptive. Breakfast was adequate and morning coffee on the terrace was pleasant. Parking was limited in front of castle and wifi... More

This is a hotel situated outside of central Dresden. The hotel is made up of an old castlebuilding with restaurants overlooking the river, and a building with rooms placed 100 meters inland in the very beautiful hotel park. As the pictures will show the setting is very beautiful. During the 26 hours I spend there no less than three newly... More
