The location is very nice and the staff very kind. - The view from our room and from the terrace/restaurant is amazing! - Breakfast is very good. - Very quite location, no noise at all. The bed was not queen size but 2 small beds one next to each other.

This is supposed to be a castle hotel atop a hillock. It has few god views from some rooms but not all.Its service attitude is poor and as its popular as the best the area has it seems always full so perhaps ignores service. the rooms are passable as are the amenities.I am sure they can try to do better. The service...

As my wife's first truly European hotel experience, we really enjoyed staying at Berghotel Kockelsberg. The staff was very welcoming and the room was comfortable an clean. Breakfast was well stocked with many choices. Best of all was the view overlooking the Mosel and the Trier valley. Although the hotel is a good 10 minute ride outside of town, it...

We recently spent a night in Trier, staying at Kockelsberg. The rooms were straightforward, with excellent views. However, my compliments to the staff. I left a toiletry kit in the room, and they both kind and efficient at working with me and customs to have it returned. Thank you!

Nice place with great view of the city. Very quiet at night and good for a romantic trip. The restaurant is good too. Take care with the address because there's a "Kockelsberg Weg" that is not the Hotel's address.

The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from Trier city centre, and located up on a hill with superb views over Trier and the river valley. Rooms are clean and spacious, but try to get one looking out towards the city. Plenty of parking space, and the hotel is very picturesque. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner) and the...

We stayed for one night in this obviously popular hotel. There is an amazing view but sadly our room was at the front. The room was okay but very basic and dated. The cobwebs on the lights in our room and down the corridor were unmissable. We were not able to use to the wifi which was very inconvenient. Breakfast...

We visited last year for our honeymoon and stayed again this year - different rooms each time but both reasonable prices and breakfast was included (delicious food!). The place is clean and typically decorated. If you are driving - it's so close to the centre of town and the Mozel Valley. Also, very mentionable, is the mesmerising view from the...

The room we reserved on the net had a nicely renovated bathroom, but was otherwise far from expected; down in the basement, dark under the terrace, and narrow. As we pulled the separate beds together, lots of dust and dirt became visible along the walls. There was also an ample amount of dust in the staircase: this place needs thorough...

This is a lovely hotel overlooking the city of Trier from high in the hills. The balcony where you can eat or just have drinks is delightful. We stayed for only one night, in the "annexe", an old farmhouse behind the hotel: very peaceful, and remarkably good value. It is some way out of town, so a car is necessary...
