We tend to stay at independent boutique (but not expensive ) hotels. I am always looking for hotels with interesting location or decor or some other characteristic. Bland chains are not our favourites.

On business and this hotel was booked through my company. Exterior of hotel has an interesting motif going on with what can be construed as art work on sides of building. Wait staff behind check in counter were extremely cordial and fluent in English and...More
When we arrived we loved the quirky exterior and the greeting we got was very welcoming. Our room was large useable with room dividing areas. The bathroom was large too.
The Bar is a little quirky too; it has all sorts of models and interesting...More
You'll need to take the 1, 3, 103 bus from the Haupt Bhanhauf or stadt mitte centre for about 2 Euro to Ludwig-Erhart strasse to get there.

As far as I remember and I have already checked out my notes, it does not have air conditioning, but what the other reviewers have said is true, the weather in Koblenz is not that warm even in Summer, since the hotel is at the Mosel River edge and very close to the Deutsch Ecke or the place where the Rhine and the Mosel rivers get together or join, then the weather in that place is more windy than in other places of Koblenz and hence fresher. Although it is about 15 minutes walk to downtown area, it is really worth it, since it is quite a peculiar place. If you don't like to walk that much there is a great taxi service. In any case, unless you arrive in one of those rare occasions when the temperature climbs to record high, you will have no problem.
