This hotel has really very good kitchen and is located in old, nice part of Essen. Directly in front of main entrance is twice per week market. Across of small square is Edeka if someone needs to buy some food etc.

this is a surprising hotel, the outside looks traditional and is a lovely looking building right on the market square, in a quiet area of town, but the inside is modernist, so a bit of a shock, rooms are nice, but I would try and avoid 30-32 as they are off the main lounge area and seem to pick up...

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. We were visiting the Techno Classica Car Show in Essen which we visited last time two years ago. The hotel is set in a little village on the outskirts of Essen. Very handy for the show especially as the hotel giave you free tram tickets into Essen where you had to change...

I frequently stay in this Hotel. Rooms are perfect, ambiance also, calm and quiet. Just escape when possible rooms on the front square on Saturday morning, if you don't want to be awake by the market. Restaurant is good, a little bit expensive. Breakfast as european standard Parking easy

Hotel is very nicely located and with good possibilities for parking the car. Rooms and other locations in the hotel are clean and well held. Good size rooms which are also well equipped and recentely updated. Personnel are friendly and serviceminded.

Three day visit, lovely location helped by the fact that we enjoyed fabulous weather. The market square outside was like a picture postcard in the sunshine. Conference facilities were satisfactory, food was excellent. Bedroom was on the basic side but spent very little time in it. Spent a fun filled evening in their attached cookery school....good food, wine and company.

Great hotel with very friendly staff. It is located in a unique quarter of Essen - the "Margarethenhöhe" which is a workers quarter laid out as a garden city from the early 20th century. Located at the central market place of this quarter you feel like diving into the athmosphere of that periode. Despite of the authentic facade, the hotel...

I booked an overnight stay for business purposes. It's in a very pretty setting and the evening meal was exceptional. For any goats cheese lovers, I would highly recommend the goats cheese with strawberry chutney in filo pastry! Staff are very professional and helpful and the room was lovely. Will definitely stay again.

stayed 3 nights while in Essen for business. Checkin smooth, as it should be, and room well furnished. All amenities that I expected, plus a few. Location is fairly close to tram stop, approx 10 minutes from centre. But teams less frequent in evenings than I expected. Wifi was free, but in my room was a bit weak. But in...
