Very efficient, clean and Well functioning. Recommend the walking distance City centre for dining. A lot of options and variaty. Also many nice shops near by. Don't miss the Mercedes Benz classic cars sales point next door. Essen brought much more to us than expected on our stopover going back to Denmark from Normandy, France.

Two night here in November 2015 to visit the Weihnachtsmarkt in Essen. They were charging a much higher rate than they advertise as the town was very busy, so check what you are going to pay. Generally it was OK but very basic. Our room was small but adequate. It was not especially clean with deep dust at the edge...

Loved the automation, from booking to receiving my room number and entry code. Then I faltered 5 steps into the hotel and needed human help. There were no signs (there might be, but I did not see them) to where the lift and rooms above ground floor are. Everything was bright and cheery, my room was fine for one person....

It was my first time in a B&B Hotel. I selected it because it was the only accommodation that I could find but, overall, I was not disappointed. This is a very "basic" hotel chain, with affordable prices, and they deliver what they promise. The room had the bare minimum, but it was clean and quiet. I could not try...

I guess this is the kind of hotel that you like if you are travelling by car, especially if you are on a business trip. It reminds me of motels in the US was travellling by train and I found the walk from the station to the hotel and back to the city center not very pleasant, having to stroll...

Well placed near City centre, good parking, bright clean building and room, good shower and pleasant staff. Dreadful pillow gave me a bad neck for a week, so Motel One which has good pillows and beds or BB Group which has cheap nasty ones - no contest!!

This is a great little place to stay during your essen stay. Its about 5 min from the subway. The only down side i can think of is the variety of restaurants around it. There is a burger king right next to it and a 10 min walk gets you to a mini city center with 4*5 restaurants which is...

We booked 2 rooms June 2014. 2 night stay. The hotel is in a good position 10 min walk into center. The Manger was very nice and helpful. The hotel is new and the rooms are clean but small, I would recommend B&B to anyone as its well priced and they do serve breakfast as well for 7 euro. It’s...

Stayed one night visiting a relative, who was also staying in the same hotel. This chain seems to make a good virtue of its economy pricing and presents everything very well, at least in this hotel. Building is virtually new. Reception only opens at certain hours, an economy move but you can still access the foyer, drinks machines and toilets....

On arrival, I thought I was in the wrong place until my fiancé confirmed it was the right hotel. The service is not bad and it is clean but it's obvious the hotel is definitely budget. It's only good for sleeping and not much else as the room my fiancé and I stayed in was small.

“Either side is equally quiet. One side faces Burger KIng and a Honda dealership (the entrance side); the other a vacant building plot. No building going on at present. Actually, the location is generally surrounded by quality blocks of newish flats with a few ground floor shops as a plus.”
