The Art Hotel is a quirky establishment located quite close to the Hauptbahnhof but no so close that the train noise is a distraction. It is a great 3 star establishment, with friendly staff. The rooms are uniquely decorated by an aspiring artist, with good sizes, very clean and good amenities (and one or two choices on the "minibar" that...

Stayed here for one night for business. Location was excellent, a 5 min walk from the main station in a safe-feeling environment. All rooms are probably different, our posse had one with a film-noir feel while I was in a Harley Davisonesque room (even with Born Wild movie poster!). Wifi was working fine, breakfast was good (also not super greasy...

I stayed in this hotel while attending a conference in Essen. The location is good, about 10 min from the train station and the area felt safe for me. The owners/reception were really friendly and helped the entire time. So why not 5 stars? My only gripe was my bed. It was a little over used. Ok, I pick up...

Hotel: If you see the outside of the building it's nothing strange or different from other hotels. But when you come inside it's a whole different feeling and has its own unique mood. I kind of liked it, if it was only for the fact than that it was totally different from all the standard hotels. Price: Price is fair...

The hotel is located at a very good place, it's only 7-8 minutes walk from the Essen HBF. It's close to the bus stop Am Waldthausenpark. Also, the market place is not too far. The hotel staff is very helpful and professional. They speak both German as well as English. I stayed for 13 nights, good breakfast in the morning....

We stayed at Art Korschen hotel for 4 days. It is a great hotel with affordable prices close to the main train station and the city center as well. As others had already written floors have different concepts. Our double room at the 4th French-themed floor had a funny decoration and was comfortable furnished (with a LCD TV and a...

Stayed for three nights in May. Room was clean and functional. The staff were all lovely and really helpful. Breakfast spread was really good, huge continental selection that was more like a lunch buffet than breakfast!

Stayed for one night December on business trip. Hotel is in good location, close to station and town centre. Internet and breakfast included. Rooms are themed and functional. TV wasn't working well and some lights were broken, shower very small, but for a 3* I would recommend it.

We had a huge room on the fifth floor with a kitchen which was handy for the fridge. Very comfortable beds, light room but with shutters you could wind down at night which made it nice and dark. Very quiet at the back certainly where we were in room 535. Big bathroom with bath with shower. Shower in the bath...
