Great if you want to explore the city and located right in the drinking district! Maybe not so good if you want a quiet place! It was perfect for us and the breakfast was fine, nothing special but good enough!

Stayed at this hotel for one night. The location is right in the thick of Dusseldorf's 'Longest Bar!' And right next to the train station. Plus points of this hotel are fantastic location, spacious and clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, lovely freshly prepared German/continental breakfast consisting of bread rolls, rye bread, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, juices, hot drinks,...

This hotel has a great location in the heart of Dusseldorf in the Altstadt (old town). Also, the subway station is right outside the hotel. Altstadt is usually the place filled with bars and restaurants, very crowded and noisy on weekends and holidays, as people are partying in the street. The hotel itself quite basic, rooms size is good but...

I stayed Altstadt Hotel St. Georg while on a stag do in July. First off let me say the location for pubs and food is amazing. The hotel is ok, rooms are clean enough, breakfast is poor. The main problem was the noise, being woken up with rubbish pop music and singing by some german guests at 5 in the...

Hotel is located right in the middle of Dusseldorf so easy to go to restaurants or shops but terrible at night due to the street noise down under it. Very small rooms and dated decor. Will not stay here again as I did not sleep at all.

Having read the previous reviews, I wasn't really expecting very much from this hotel at all, but it was centrally located and that was a big plus for us. On arriving we were checked in by very pleasant staff who directed us to our room on the top floor. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, and...

On entering this hotel and climbing the stairs to reception you know this is a budget hotel, everywhere is small and cramped although not unexpected as the building is old. Check in was ok with friendly staff. Room was tiny (albeit very clean). Curtains didn't actually cover all the windows and outside is a very busy bar and restaurant area....

Altstadt Hotel St. Georg is situated i Altstadt Dusseldorf in the middle of bierstubes and restaurants. That is why the night might be very noicy. Ask for a room against the backyard. Just 5-6 minutes away from the standpromonade of the river Rheine. Very pleasant personal and a okey breakfastbuffet. Paid 200 euro which I think is far too much.

I had to stay in Düsseldorf downtown and due to some trade show all hotels were either full or offering rooms at ridiculously high prices. I already assumed this one would be grossly overpriced for what I expected to be an average and old fashioned German hotel and I was right. My room was nice, roomy and clean, with outdated...

Very well located. Just a few steps from the old town. Plenty of restaurants and and pubs, just next door. The rooms are good as well as the breakfast. My shower did not work the first day, and a curtain needs to be placed in order to avoid the water to drop in the floor.
