Had i realised this was actually a YMCA i certainly wouldnt have booked it, but actually its a perfectly fine budget hotel. It seems CVJM hotels are quite different from the UK YMCA which are hostels-the rooms you'll find here are pretty similar to a Travelodge standard room. Check in was fast and efficient and the man on the desk... More

Location is a big plus for this hotel. It is very close to the main train station, with many restaurants around. The room is clean and spacious. the Wi Fi is relatively fast (you do need to get a passcode for each of your equipment.) Breakfast is included, though it is a typical continental breakfast and not too special. The... More

A little taken aback to discover that this was a YMCA, but presently surprised by the standard of the hotel. Good sized room, nice and clean, bright and airy. However having large light switches on the head board on the bed beggars belief!! Move in your sleep, or stretch, and you turn all the lights on!!. Breakfast canteen was OK.... More

The greeting is good and the staff are polite and helpful, but everything else is just average to bad. The rooms have neither coffee making facilities nor fridge, the bathrooms have the standard hotel issue soap and surprisingly a shoe shine kit, but no shower gel, shampoo or body cream. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were huge continental... More

CVJM is a perfect hotel if you travel by train there it is only 300 metres to the central station. The rooms are big and clean. Breakfast is included. You also get a free travel card for public transport. A great option.

I like this hotel and definitely next time I will come back there. Good location, good staff. The only problem was I didn't had wifi in my room. So, I had to spent a lot of time in the lobby. And when I asked to the older man working there why there's no wifi in the room, was very unkind.... More

All good with that hotel, near the train station, friendly reception, room decent size, bathroom with shower, wifi in the room works well. Bed ok, pretty quiet all around, though my room looked out to the back courtyard (a bit grim). Breakfast very nice, though not stellar (no warm food). I would stay there any time again, very conveniently located... More

I had the misfortune to need a room for the night in Düsseldorf while the Trade Fair was on. I fully understand that hotels will raise their prices then, but I booked 7 months ahead, my booking was categorised Early Bird, yet I was charged €229.50 for a room which would normally cost about €50-60 (I was told that figure... We stayed here for a 2 night visit of Dusseldorf. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, big bathroom, quiet, and excellent value. The complimentary travel pass just added to the great value. It enabled us to jump trams, trains and buses to a few places we would probably not have gone to. Highly recommended.

I was in Düsseldorf for Trade Fair in First week of April 2016 and stayed there for a night. It was a mixed experience for me. I had booked room through one of the prominent web site and we had requested for early check in as I was arriving 4 hours before regular check in. But it was declined, no... More
