Would definitely recommend, had a lovely stay. Great location, fantastic breakfast and room at back so quiet and larger and better than thought. PIctures don't do justice. Friendly reception. Great situation

Booked this hotel for a business trip. Although it is very basic, slept well - and I'm generally a light sleeper. There are no frills or extras and a kettle in the room would have been a nice addition. The decor is dated and could do with a revamp but that doesn't matter as it is comfortable and clean. The... This little hotel is in a good location, about 5 minutes walk from the Friesenplatz urban rail station. 20 minute walk to the Dom/Cathedral/Rhein/Old Town. Some good restaurants closeby. The main hallway leading from the street to the stairs up to the first floor level (reception) is unimpressive. There's a small lift to take you to the upper floors. The... More

We were there only for one night. You have to leave room keys at the front desk everytime you go out. Breakfast was limited but fine. No paper toilet in bathroom, called the front desk but never got it. Rooms should be well prepared and reviewed before check in time. Asked by e-mail for an available upgrade before we got... More

This family hotel have the best location for shopping and it is very close to the Dome/cathedral, restaurants and everything you want to see in Cologne. I had a room on the backside of the hotel and it had a nice wood floor (do not like carpets) and a good bed with a big wardrobe - very clean and new.... More

For the price, it would be hard to find a better place. Location excellent. Nearby restaurants, shops and excellent traditional Kolsch pubs. Off street parking for only 9 Euro. A few minutes walk from the Cathedral. Near the S-Bahn station. The provided breakfast was very good, including scrambled eggs, sausages, cold cuts, cerals, yogurhts, rolls, fruits, etc. Very good coffee... More

This hotel is located right on the Ring-Straße, in the heart of downtown Cologne. It is basically close to everything, including the subway and trams. This part of the Ring is a center for restaurants and evening entertainment, so rooms to the front will be noisy, especially on weekends. The location is actually the best thing about this hotel. The... More

The entrance hall of the hotel is done out in travertine marble and reminded me of a Roman hotel, especially as the Reception is on the first floor (there is a lift!). The staff are charming and speak English; the furniture in the public rooms is excellent and the breakfast was excellent too. I thought that the bathroom could do... More

I stayed at this hotel during a big food exhibition in Cologne. The hotel is very pricy for its category. Service is ok and breakfast is not bad. The entrance of the hotel is terrible and needs to be re-done. From the street it looks like a cheap youth hostel. One other thing that I disliked is that they asked... More

Big clean bedroom and huge bathroom. Bathroom could use some remodeling. Wi-Fi not great in room. Little dated but very spacious. Very close to shops and restaurants. Great base to visit other small towns around. Take a boat cruise on the Rhine. It's a non smoking hotel but they have a smoking room downstairs. The smell ends up in your... More
