Check in was good, English speaking owner took us through the process of the door mechanisms, offered us a map and a free beer which was perfect after our journey. The hotel can be seen across the road from the Messe/Deutz train station and the location is perfect for a trip to the Koln Messe exhibition centre. Breakfast is 8... More

This was a one night stay, just to visit the Cologne GamesCon, and it was enough to experience. The location is perfect close to the city and Messe, but still quiet enough to sleep well. Very strange is the "German" welcome charm, rough but friendly! Including some other old school strange experiences, NO free WLAN, just to pay for by... More

No free wifi - despite listing saying wifi (no mention of charge - apparently it's in the small print in a drop down box on Booking.com). I really think this is partly Booking.com's fault for not making sure their website is explicitily clear about this). Wifi cost 2 Euros per HOUR!!! Room was extremley hot when I arrived at 10.20pm... I stayed at the SKADA Hotel for one night in December 2015. I arrived at the railway station Cologne-Deutz and the Hotel is less than a 5 minutes walk away. Staff was very welcoming, explaining everything you need to know and you get a voucher for a free Kölsch (the local beer). Room was clean and renovated, bathroom was clean... More

I stayed 2 nights. Clean room, bed very comfortable and so close to Lanxess Arena, reason why I chosen it. It was a well-founded trust. I also received 2 beers as a welcome from the owner, happy for that!

I felt I went back into the dark medieval ages as the furniture and hotel were so old, consumed and dirty, dogs running around the place all the time, insects in the rooms, very poorly lit rooms, towels look like rugs a million years old, table lamps not functional, soap is mixed with water to save money, extremely rude and... I suppose it is the intention and design of the hotel is as is. It's typical 3* hotel, but with more polite staff than can I found in some 4* hotels. Room is clean. Bed was awesome. Bathrooms are cool "time-stop" - great. Breakfast is also great and rich. For me it was nice surprise.

I stayed for a night at Skada Hotel and I must admit I was surprised of the warm welcoming, polite and helpful staff. Overall a great atmosphere and I will sure recommend the experience to my friends.

I stayed at the Skada for 5 nights. I was very happy with the hotel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are typical german inner-city hotel-rooms. They had just been renovated. Rooms facing the street will have traffic noise and noise from Köln-Deutz railroad station but the windows are effective sounds-barriers - but if you new fresh or cold air... More
