If you are going to g to Cologne for the Christmas markets, this is the hotel to use. It is a stones throw from the main Christmas market located at the Cathedral and the excellent Christmas markets in the Old Town, furthermore it is very close to the banks of the river Rhine, the main train station and about a 15 minute walk to the Chocolate Museum. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect for our needs, a comfortable bed, an excellent shower room and strong room safe. Housekeeping cleaned the room, remade the bed and restocked the room everyday. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice to suit everyone. There is a restaurant onsite as well as a small wine bar. The hotel is in an excellent location for the Christmas markets , the staff are outstanding , Sarah the receptionist noted it was our 49th wedding anniversary and the butler delivered champagne and chocolates, the in the restaurant Thomas noted our celebration and we were served warm apple fritters and ice cream. All courtesy of the hotel , the gestures made our trip memorable, the hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable , breakfast was such a lot of choice , we would recommend this hotel and will return .

Whole experience here was very good. From greeting at reception to breakfast. I had notified this hotel that we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and they sent up wine and chocolate. Very much appreciated, it’s these little touches that makes a hotel memorable. It’s location is fantastic too, close to old town, the cathedral and train station. Very highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for a short stay in Cologne. It was in walking distance to Museum Ludwig and the Cathedral. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the front desk, to housekeeping and at breakfast. They had a little 'shop' with useful snacks and drinks which came in handy when needed. We also used the hideaway booth where you can charge your laptop and have a change of scenery from your room. Our room was perfect in size and so nice to have coffee / tea facilities.

Good hotel in a great location about 4/5 mins. from main station but literally 3 mins from the Rhine. Good size rooms, good breakfast. Quiet location. No restaurant but there is a restaurant attached to the hotel. No bar but again bar attached to hotel with seating outside.

The hotel is located very near to the station (the station is at the side of the cathedral and the hotel is pretty much round the other side of the cathedral) We requested a quiet room which was noted and we were given a room facing the inner courtyard, it was very quiet, zero issues. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good although I would say a little over priced if you pay the "walk up rate" - try to prebook as part of a deal. Staff were friendly, check in / out was quick and easy. The Spa is generally switched off, you have to request it then wait 30 mins for it to warm up before going down. We only used it once, it lacked changing facilities and the showers only half worked. Well located for all the sights, an outdoor square a couple of mins walk away has nice outdoor eating and drinking if the weather is good. I would happily stay again.…

I registered at accor.com on August 19, 2023 and booked a reservation for one night, September 18th, at the hotel Mondial am Dom Cologne. After providing my credit card information and accepting that my reservation could not be changed or cancelled, I received a reservation number. (MPPDFWMV). When we arrived at the hotel today we were told that our reservation had been cancelled by “the system” in August, “maybe there was an issue processing our credit card…?” ( I received no notification that there was any issue with our reservation and we have had no other issues with our credit card.) After waiting a considerable time for the front desk person to confer with management, we were advised that here was a room available but it would be at a higher price than our reservation. What kind of scam is that?! We are happily staying some where else tonight. Don’t take a chance on this unreliable hotel! …

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is next to the superb Ludwig Museum. Also the cathedral, the symphony hall, railway station are there. It is just minutes away from the pedestrian shopping streets and the pedestrian streets with all the cafes that lead to the Rhine. Many other museums are easily walkable. The rooms of the hotel are compact but well equipped. Very clean and comfortable. I was really pleased to find tea /Coffee and a fridge. It makes such a difference in a hotel and particularly to someone who does not eat full breakfasts. The doors are heavy which makes the room soundproof and there is a floor light that operates if you go to the bathroom during the night. The taxi from the airport on Saturday was 48 euro, it was busy, the return was 44 euro I was alone with luggage. Otherwise the station is close by.…

This hotel is in a great location, central to the main sights and also to the central station. As most MGallery hotels well appointed clean and well maintained. I only gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 because we found the staff on the front desk generally uninterested, and inattentive giving us the feeling that we were interrupting their screen time on the computer checking in and out and times we just wanted to ask a question. Don’t forget you don’t get a second chance at a first impression.

Fabulous location. We stayed for 3 nights in August 23. We arrived at the airport and it was so easy to catch the train to the main Cologne station. From there it was just a short walk to the hotel which is right by the Cathedral. Everything was so easy to get to. The Rhine was just around the corner and the Alter Market with its many restaurants was just 5 minutes away. Cannot fault the hotel. The buffet breakfast was amazing with many choices. Will definitely be back!
