Although the hotel is a little outside the town centre it is ideally placed for a very good stay. The views from the restaurant are fantastic, the food and drink we were served was very good. One bit of constructive criticism is that the reception area is a little dated,

We paid almost 300€ for one night at the end of September and got the smallest possible double room. Great view, clean room and great amenities (though they charge 2€ for each nespresso capsule) but I was expecting more at this price range. Breakfast was tasty, but I would have expected bigger variety. The spa is nice and features an indoor pool with sea water and a big sauna area.

Excellent location with awesome views of surroundings and beach front. Rooms are restricted in size. Everything looks neat and clean and refurbished. Still remains a high rise building with noise levels. Very good variety for breakfast. Always friendly staff.

The Neptun is - well - the Neptun. Small rooms, however refurbished and not as dusty as they used to be, less than decent breakfast (after all it’s a 5* property), and definitely overpriced: € 230.— for a double room in early April on a Wednesday night beyond any holiday season. And this refers to a regular room, no corner room, no suite, not the 18th floor. It is a holiday hotel, mostly booked by the (very) silver generation. Wifi worked quite well. Spa is solala (not to be compared to Hohe Düne, which is extraordinary in this respect). I was accommodated there by the conference organizers. Wouldn’t have booked it myself. It‘s not bad, don‘t get me wrong. Just too expensive, and not really my style. Best feature, apart from the unbeatable view: the lobby bar and its charming staff.

We really love the SPA: seawater swimming pool, Finnish Sauna with sea view. I was impressed with the ocean front rooms with balcony, sitting outside watching the sun set and listening to the ocean waves was more than wonderful. Close to all the shops and restaurants, close to the beach. It wasn't too hot so we didn't miss the air-conditioner but the lack of air conditioning can be a really disadvantage on a hot day. Parking is quite expensive, the hotel is fully renovated but still has the old GDR style. The team was friendly. breakfast was good, everybody can find something, the selection is really good. There was live music in the bar every evening, the cocktail selection is really impressive. Only one guy spoke English at the front desk, and the same in the restaurant but they tried their best and we always got what we wanted. As I wrote, the only drawback was the car parking. It is not included in the room price and quite expensive.
