Elke greeted us with a big smile and made sure that we had all the information we wanted about Schwerin - restaurants, places to visit etc. The whole place is very welcoming and cosy, candles, music, scent. The room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable and there was a good choice for breakfast. The Wi-fi in the room was not always reliable but worked well in the public area. This was only a very small problem and we would thoroughly recommend this B&B.
This is one of my two favorite hotels in German, family run, and charming. Lovely hospitality, very comfortable rooms, a great breakfast, and all for a good price. Schwerin is the best place to stay in Mecklenburg, and this is my favorite hotel there.
We have made several trips to Schwerin to visit friends and this family run bed and breakfast offers the best accommodations in town. Elke is an innkeeper par excellence. She was attentive and responsive to every request and question. The rooms are immaculate. Breakfast was r generous and delicious and served in the large and sunny dining room. The pension is across from the train station. Our room was extra quiet on the back court yard. We could walk every where - around the scenic Pfaffenteich a block away or a few blocks to the Dom and Old Town. I highly recommend a stay here and we will certainly be back.
Zum Weissen Haus is a small hotel, very centrally located. It is opposite the station and access to the old town , lake and castle is in easy walking distance. The breakfast is excellent, a super range of organic foods, which will not disappoint! The weather was really hot when we were there, and we were very pleased to have the spacious roof terrace. Frau Elke Schröder runs the hotel with great professionalism. An excellent place to stay in a most charming town.
There are so many details that shows the quality of this little gem! From the spotless cleanliness of the room with comfortable beds, to the blankets for lending when going to the outdoor opera. The veranda with candles in the evening and sun protective cream in the day, the plentiful, organic breakfast and ofcourse the hostess, always friendly and helpful. This is to be recommended.
