There are often people smoking in the lobby, and the smell of smokes fills up the front stairwell and right into our room. You can smell it all the time! This problem was only partially solved after some windows of the hallway are opened, but you "always have to" endure the "smokes" everytime when going out through the lobby. The... More

Beyond the quaint cobblestones and half-timbered facade, and the friendly receptionists, these people are obtuse or ignorant of the guest's experience. The two radiators in my large room were adjacent in far wall of the distant bathroom, the room itself was freezing, even with the extra blanket they brought me I couldn't sleep for shivering. It had so little furniture... More

I stayed at the Stadthotel Magnitor for several nights. My room was basic and minimal, but more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved the duvet. It was early May, and I appreciated how responsive the heating system was when I felt chilly. The room was quiet most nights, although one night there was a lot of... More

A large group of us enjoyed a delicious dinner out on the square. Excellent quality, and a delightful evening. Inside looks modern. Nice location in the pedestrian zone. Don't know about the hotel part, but would recommend a meal.

The good first. It has a great location. Close to restaurants, bars, shopping and transportation. There is a dirt park next door with weekend activities. There is a lovely courtyard for beverages. Mike, in the bar, is a great bartender that will take care of you. Lyn at the front desk speaks great English, is helpful, friendly and accommodating! The... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is ideally located to visit both the historic and shopping areas of Braunschweig. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable although a little basic. Breakfasts were good! We would certainly stay there again when next visiting the area. The only downside was on the Saturday night... More
