A lovely picturesque hotel set in the folds of the hills of Assmanhausen which is as good as it looks. The hotel covers a number of buildings but this did not detract from it's great services. A wonderful time was had in the dining room where the food was eaten and beer drunk to a local gent belting out his...

I stayed in this hotel for four nights. This is an old inn and is now split over 2 or 3 buildings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms vary in size but are very clean. My room overlooked the church which has a bell which rings every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The breakfast...

We stayed here and our room, for Germany, was rather large and very good. It was not air-conditioned and wasn't needed anyway. The room had two windows thus, good circulation and it is a quiet location away from train traffic. Breakfast was included and was excellent.

After asking in advance for a room with a bath, I got a lovely big room with a four poster bed and large bathroom. Not bad for a single traveller on a coach tour. Hotel is lovely, quiet, comfortable and the staff were very good with the exception of the bar staff who seemed a bit grumpy! Food was fine....

The first thing to say is that this hotel is not in Rudesheim. It is about 5 kms outside of the town. Having said this, what a find this hotel is. It would appear that the owners have slowly been buying up the surrounding properties for additional hotel amenities. The hotel is situated in a very quiet village with walking...

Stayed here with a coach party in this hotel for five days. The hotel itself is in a lovely situation and has lots of character. The rooms were adequate with lovely beams making it feel not like the typical hotel room. It would have been nice to have had air conditioning in the rooms as the temperature was quite hot....

This hotel isn't in the centre of Rüdesheim but a coup,e of kilometres along the Rhine. It's a quite village atmosphere with parking available. There isn't a lot in the village itself, just a coup,e of restaurants, but you can get a boat along Rhine either to Rüdesheim or elsewhere. There are also trains and buses available, so it is...

We arrived at Alte Bauernschaenke after a long train ride (note: they are near Assmanshausen station, not Ruedesheim), and were so relieved that the hotel lived up to its photographs and description. As others have said, it's a cluster of buildings with very well-appointed rooms next to a church in the old town of Assmanshausen. Things to note: 1) Church...

Quite a nice hotel, but the receptionist was a bit abrupt and grumpy to the people waiting for keys, some of which were elderly. The building itself was very old and not very good for accessibility. For example, to get to the elevator you need to climb stairs.

We were on a Leger holiday to see the German grand prix, which for the Grand Prix was really too far out. However we decided to miss the qualifiers and explore the area. We booked a boat trip on the Rhine through the hotel and saved 10 euros by doing so. The boat trip lasted 4.5 hours and time well...
