The hotel bedroom was really good, very clean and a good size. Breakfast was a complete sham. We found a space on a table and asked if we could have some fresh tea, and we were informed not until that one was empty. Also the dinning area is extremely small, and it was crazy just getting a seat and then...

Really nice hotel in a beautiful setting, staff polite and friendly, bar staff had a good sense of humour, rooms were more than adequate, always clean and tidy only downside was the lack of tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good with a good selection except for the packed breakfast, curly sandwiches, muffins were nice, would have preferred water...

The hotel Alte Bauernschanke in Assmannshausen is a lovely half timbered building with lots of character. The bedrooms are all quite large and the interior is decorated with the most decorative wood carvings. There is a restaurant, a spa a lovely breakfast room and a large bar. The staff are all very helpful and all speak excellent English.

We came as part of a Leger coach holiday and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Our room (52) was huge, with a large bathroom and mezzanine bedroom. There were plenty of radiators and I actually had to switch a couple of them off! There was everything you might need in the room, the whole...

Room 14. - very spacious and comfortable. Handy for lift and dining-rooms for the less-mobile. Lovely hot radiators, which were much appreciated as it was very cold outside. Plenty to choose from self-service breakfast menu. Evening meal pretty basic. Not to everyone's taste.

Our second visit here after 5 years...Most aspects were as before.....BUT !....the evening meal has become a strange affair...we had to fill in a menu before eating...even though we had filled one in at breakfast time (?) Food was not as varied as before and took much longer than an hour to serve, the usual pork dish was offered but the...

A lovely picturesque hotel set in the folds of the hills of Assmanhausen which is as good as it looks. The hotel covers a number of buildings but this did not detract from it's great services. A wonderful time was had in the dining room where the food was eaten and beer drunk to a local gent belting out his...

I stayed in this hotel for four nights. This is an old inn and is now split over 2 or 3 buildings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms vary in size but are very clean. My room overlooked the church which has a bell which rings every 15 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The breakfast...

We stayed here and our room, for Germany, was rather large and very good. It was not air-conditioned and wasn't needed anyway. The room had two windows thus, good circulation and it is a quiet location away from train traffic. Breakfast was included and was excellent.

After asking in advance for a room with a bath, I got a lovely big room with a four poster bed and large bathroom. Not bad for a single traveller on a coach tour. Hotel is lovely, quiet, comfortable and the staff were very good with the exception of the bar staff who seemed a bit grumpy! Food was fine....
