This hotel is right on the main street in Assmannshausen. We have stayed here 3 times. The date in the lobby shows 1541. The woodwork, the stained glass, and the overall feeling of old Europe was wonderful. We had a Junior Suite overlooking the Rhein. Our room was very large, the bathroom was very big, and we had a big...

I live in the region, but when I have visitors from abroad, I always pick a place around Rüdesheim to impress them, especially when the weather is sunny. Once we visit the surrounding places, I pick the nicest restaurant in the region, Krone Assmannshausen. I did this last month when I had visitors from several continents and they all were...

Old style hotel with many modern features and room varieties. Our room overlooked the Rhein river with a small terrace wth table, chairs and umbrella. Greeted by very friendly staff and escorted to our rooms in building adjacent to main building. Our room was large with, a hall with closet for clothes, to the large double sink bathroom and the...

We stayed for a 2 nights only as we were travelled from Mosel valley back to Frankfurt. The hotel is well designed everything is ancient here.So if you don't like vintage stuff - probably you wont like it. The rooms are quite spacious and try to have a river view where the action is!)) order the bottle and look at...

After a major refurbishment (?), the hotel reopened on May 1. We checked in on May 2, having booked weeks before. The hotel was definitely not ready to receive guests. Everything reminded us of "Faulty Towers", from the less than efficient reception to the build-up of debris from the trees by the entrance, and the ancient television. The building, of...

Dear Hely, Thanks for your impression written down after your stay at our hotel in May. For sure we do not want to show up with John Cleese, but because of the opening several things went up side down with our service - so the team and me want to apologize for this circumstances - which are definitly are not...

We stayed at this property in May 1982 during our first visit to Germany. We returned to the Krone and had a very nice room with balcong facing the Rhine River. Our room was nicely decorated and the view of the Rhine and the river traffic made it great. The building our room was in could use some attention to...

Like staying in an old mansion with many antiques and memorabilia. Very clean with large rooms and bathrooms. The junior suite with large balcony over looking the Rhine is splendid. Breakfast was better than most with ''crispy'' bacon (hard to get in Europe), and you can order fried eggs if you wish. Hotel staff are very pleasant and aim to...

Well located right on the Rhein this lovely traditional hotel offers an old fashioned style of the rest: excellent service, rooms full of antiques, cosy outdoors pool and lots of options for walks around. We had a river view room with a gorgeous panorama of Rhein, be careful with a mountain view rooms, as they are too close to the...

Although the hotel is very beautiful it is disappointing that neither the restaurant or the bar is open this evening. As a result it seems very expensive for a lack of facilities. As a single traveler I was looking forward to a quiet drink and meal but they were not even prepared to serve me a drink to take to...
