I've spent several months at this place. The spa it's very elegant and relaxing. Sadly in the last periods were a lot of disappointing redflags regarding this hotel. Before you arrive to the hotel you have to pay around 80% of the staying period at reservation. When you arrive to the reception they are taking away money with so called "Authorisierung"/"Authorisation", and you end up with 95% of the money is away. In case you have to go home earlier because of COVID, you have to bag your money back. In other big european hotels(and not only) even if you stay 1-2 months, you can pay at the end of the month. This is nothing from Vila Vita then just not trusting their guests... which is very disappointing. The breakfast price is on 5 star level...., but it's nothing more then just a standard 2 star breakfast with cheap-, very sugary- :Ioghurt, jam, honey... Even in a 3 star hotel in Corona time you can get an omelette, bacon, sausage...., you can choose what you eat. In the last 2 weeks they even cut the slices of ham. You get now 1 slice of ham and 2 slices of salam, which I think it's a joke for this price. (it was before significantly more) If they forget your breakfast that's also absolutely normal at Vila Vita. It's very annoying when you are having meetings at 8 and you planned your breakfast at reception for 7:00 and you still didn't get your breakfast at 7:30...…
In Marburg , the old city of Student, is the Hotel Vila Vita a gem.Fine location a the river, embedded in green and nice houses. The service is extremely friendly. The rooms are good . The breakfast is fine. All well organised and great. This is a place you should stay!
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and we found our stay too short. Delicious breakfast, nice room and helpful staff. The staff members serving breakfast were very friendly to our children. Everyone was polite and offered great service. Our room was modern and had a fully equipped kitchen, modern furniture and consumption from the mini bar was for free (limited range of drinks). There is also a spa with sauna, steam bath and a very nice pool. Highly recommended!
The hotel is quite near to the city centrum and to all the interesting sites of this lovely little town. All destinations in this city are reachable with short walks, starting from this hotel, so that you do not need to use the car. Its location is close to the Lahn river and is really quiet. Rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and professional. The only drawback is the paid parking, quite unusual in my thirty years of experience as a traveler in Europe. Moreover, it is controlled with an automatic bar and tickets with no free parking for the first 15 minutes, as in many automatic car parks, but instead with an immediate payment for the whole hour, also if You just shortly enter to check-out the hotel and to load Your luggage. I'm not saying this because of the money, in fact I’m mostly doing business trips, where the company pays everything. I say this, because this treatment does not make you feel like a guest, but more like a customer to be exploited as much as possible. I would certainly not visit a hotel like this as a private individual.…
We booked this hotel for a 1 night stop over on our journey south. We were absolutely blown away by the place! The room was huge, with a separate walk in wardrobe and full length mirror. We had our dog with us and were given a ground floor room with direct access to nice paths on which to walk our dog, which we really appreciated. Our son was made to feel so special, two kind ladies set him up a beautiful play tent with games and books and bought him a treat with snacks on. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both were delicious and of a very high quality! We will definitely return! Thanks to the great staff for making the start of our holiday so perfect.
